Got back to the hotel after the visitation portion of the funeral stuff and a quick dinner at McD's. Tomorrow at 10am is the ceremony and will likely have a family dinner following that.
On the way down here, I realized I'm driving right past where CJ lives... probably about 3-4 miles away at the most... Would have been cool to have the time to stop by for a drink/dinner before heading back on Sunday... although a 10hr drive along with even a quick visit anywhere would make for a long day...
The last 30-ish miles greeted us with a downpour forcing me to go from the 70-75mph down to around 40mph or have to worry about hydroplaning. The nice part was it dropped the temps from the mid-90's down to about 75°. We've got chances of rain again tomorrow and if that happens, there is a chapel at the cemetary available to finish the funeral.
I may drop by again tomorrow... but for some reason I'm not getting an internet connection and currently I'm using my smartphone's hotspot but inside a 4 story hotel, there isn't much of a cell signal so things are a bit slow. I probably should try to get out by the gulf and take some pics if I can find something to shoot... guess I'll have to see what's out there if I get the time for that.

Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.
Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.
