my sis lives in saraland ala......so i hope it stays away from there!!
The last couple of days, the forecasted path for tropical storm Nate had been moved to the west a bit which would take MM and Classy out of the effects from it... it's still to the west of where it was mentioned last on here but it also seems to me that it may be trending to the east again. Like always, the forecasts will change as time passes... so what's forecasted now is only a general idea of where things will likely be.
If it stays as it's currently forecasted... Sunny will likely deal with a bit of the weather caused by it around Sunday and if it keeps together and goes as forecasted, so will Jmur, Yimmy and FranC... with a slight chance that Redd will have a slight chance to get some storms from it if it moves a little more to the west from the forecasted path.
What I think will affect how far east ( if any further ) that it tracks... is the cold front that is now moving south east through the central plains. Behind it, where all of the high pressure areas are just north of the cold front, is the jet stream that is driving things to the south and east. I guess we'll see how things develop. I know the forecast for my area originally had a slight chance of quarter - half dollar sized hail and high winds, has been increased and now includes a very slight ( still pretty low ) chance of tornadoes with the storms. I think the intensifying in my area will affect how strong the front is and add to an easterly push of the forecasted track for Nate... I guess we'll see in the end.
