So I could get updated heads for the Tox, is that also true for the LT? The V3 heads that lorddavon mentioned are metal will you have those? Are the heads push on or screw on? I apologize for being a pain in the ***.

Urge

Yes, you can get an updated head. I do not have them yet and refrain a bit from talking about it until it's here.

They are push/screw meaning you have to line it up, push it in, then turn.
I am not sure if a metal top would work with the current plastic version. You'll have to defer to LD for that info if he knows.
I don't have one to test out.

For the lava, no, the Lava is one complete unit, there is no "head" to remove unlike the Tox

I gotta say if LRider is not telling me the truth I am going to be a bit peeved and probably won't order from them again.
It's one thing to make an exclusive for a company it's quite another to lie about it to a current and frequently contacted buyer. :(

Well Sorry To break you up with them BUT my silver ones seem to be aluminum and I scratched with my awl and it comes up aluminum plus the threads are not bi-colored like one gets when painted over. IMO the big one looks like your hittin on a mini .....

Not completely sure what you are referring to? The Lava Tube?
Copper Vs Aluminum, or Aluminum vs. Stainless Steel?

If Copper Vs Aluminum, I wouldn't imagine LRider would tell me they are using painted copper when they are using a better material, that's unlike the Chinese to undersell :) That said, based on info in here it looks like they aren't telling me the truth about anything, so who knows.'

We'll have to wait to see if a True Stainless one comes out.

If by Aluminum, you meant to suggest Stainless, it's not the same.
Sorry for my confusion, it's early and I haven't had my coffee yet

I have the Indulgence and the Silver Lava coming in this week, should be Friday or Saturday :)

Does that mean the wooded Indulgence with matching cone and drip tip (like txtumbleweed's awesome one) will be avail then?

BTW, as for 'silver' lavatubes, I've gotten info from the alibaba bulk site for vendors and the vendor I ordered my stainless one through. Right now, in terms of 'silver' lavatubes, factory has ability to produce 1) silver powercoat... light silver, just like the orig black only pretty light silver color. Not sure about end caps, if they're metal or plastic like the original. I guess that would probably depend on what the vendor ordered. 2) Stainless Steel which is solid stainless fabrication, including head/endcaps and body, and is quite a bit more expensive, both in wholesale and retail cost 3) Chrome, which is fabricated in copper, with a coating of chrome and is a little bit more expensive. I've requested an all copper one, so crossing fingers that that will be an option in the future. Not sure what DV is gonna carry (calling it 'silver' leads me to believe its the pretty silver powdercoated one), but there was a whole brouhaha with noone knowing which silver was which in the lavatube forum, and figured I'd post that info here, so you guys didn't run into the same confusion. People ordered one thing and intended to order something else, but those are the actual options, straight from the factory. Not all vendors are carrying all silver models, though, just like not all carried the original red/magenta, and silver powdercoated ones along with the black. And based on the hunting I've done, so far it seems no vendors in the US have received either the Stainless or the Chrome models yet, but a few have ordered them. Apparently some of the uk vendors were calling the silver powdercoat one 'steel' so it threw everything into some confusion. Then the addition of actual stainless and chrome just made everyone more confused.

BTW, a friend of mine here on ecf got ahold of a new 'silver' powercoated one. He was in a location where there was an actual physical location selling them. He had an original lavatube, with bad button and cracked end cap, so replaced it with new silver powdercoated one. He's not sure if its upgraded 'innards' or not, but said there is NO comparison in the vape he's getting from the new silver to the old one he had. He said it hits way way better. Now that might be because his old one was just a dud, or might mean they've upgraded the functions in some way, but either way, he was ready to get something totally different because lava was letting him down, but now that he has the new silver powdercoated one, he's LOVING the vape. So make of that what you will. Sounds like it would be a super safe purchase if you're considering it.

Silver Lava??? Are the electronics any different?

Not sure, but see the next post, it's possible they've upgraded, I will not know until it's here for sure. For now you'll have to take word of mouth. (see next quote :) )

Yes :) but the second one is all MINE Muhahahahaha Muhahahahaha

Yes, there does seem to be confusion. MOST of the confusion stems from LRider, the manufacturer. They have told me there is no "Stainless Steel" only Copper with painted Chrome and of course the silver powder coated one (which is the one I am getting in a day or so) My tracking says Express and it left 4 days ago with no more info, that usually means it is in the air and will hit and probably be here same day when it updates (I purchased these 39 days ago)

There is a vendor selling Stainless, who says it is stainless, and taking pre-orders for items that have not even shipped yet. I will never do that, too risky. But my issue is that I have a manufacturer rep telling me they do not sell Stainless.
I also know for a fact (because it keeps happening) that L-Rider uses Vendors as banks to fund their production lines and NEVER ships when you pay. It's always 3-4+ weeks out, which is INFURIATING. I wish no vendor ill will but based on track record alone, I would have to say that the other vendor is going to have problems meeting his newly postponed arival date. I hope that doesn't happen because no one wants to see anyone fail or a customer get dissapointed but it's L-Rider..

Hmm.. can you tell I don't like them??

All that said, there will be NO confusion from me, when I get it I will post all the info. If I find out there actually is a stainless version I will also post that and I will post info on the Chromed one as well. And also if I see a difference in performance vs. the original.

Oh yeah, I'm with you on the 'get professional, or get out of the business' thing with Lrider. They'll not be able to get away with it for long, just cause there are other Chinese vv options coming out with features as nice as lava and nicer, in the same price range. I've never dealt directly with them as a vendor (cause I'm not one, lol) but have dealt with a couple of very straight shooting vendors who would never mislead their clients deliberately, but are passing on tons of misinformation that they're getting from Lrider directly...and the story seems to change by the day. I'm one of those that ordered the 'solid stainless' and was told that it would show up in a week... then two weeks, then a month and a half. lol I still don't have it, and honestly am not sure what, if anything, I'm gonna end up with. I can tell you that if I were selling these mods, I'd definitely do it your way and sell only what i physically have in my very own hands. lol Just MUCH less confusing that way, and at least then you know you can meet the exact promises you're making to your clientele. Its very obvious there's a problem with the sales reps, just cause every vendor seems to have different information, and while there may be a few rotten vendors in the bunch, the vast majority do business on the up and up. So the only place the misinformation can be coming from is the factory reps. Unfortunate. I'm really hoping I end up with a solid stainless lava tube, but I think the more realistic outcome, at this point, is that a few mos will go by, and those same vendors who were taking pre-orders are gonna have people clamoring for refunds, and I'll be one of the ones clamoring for my money back. Honestly, at this point, I'd be fine with that, just cause since I made my order I've discovered that I can get a gorgeous mod from you guys, w handcrafted wood body, for the same price family as lavatube. So either I'll get the steel lava, and get the indulgence wooded from DV, or I'll get the indulgence wooded from you, and turn my lavatube money into a lovely vv wood model from you guys to go with it. Either way, I won't be buying anything based on lrider's promises again in the future, and I'm thrilled to have found you guys. Wish I knew txtumbleweed directly, cause I owe that guy a big hug for leading me here. lol
