Got home tonight from Sunday dinner at my parent's, and Tabbytha has what seems to be another mass on her left shoulder (or swollen pretty big for some reason). This is the leg that she was originally favoring before her behavior changed w/eating and stuff, but previously had no mass or swelling. She also has a small knot under her chin, which we (vet & I) noticed Friday, but wanted to wait a few days to see if the antibiotics took care of that. I'm going to have to drop her off at the vet's in the morning on my way to my interview. She did get up for a few minutes and walk around and meow for attention and rubbed on things. She wouldn't jump on the bed though - I think she's too weak. I put her up there and she purred and kneaded for awhile then slithered off and went back to her little bed on the floor in the bathroom. It's just breaking my heart.

Sorry for the downer post. Just needed to share. :(

Oh Sonic, I'm so sorry Tabbytha is having set backs. I certainly hope that the vet can help heal her. In the meantime, try to do well on the interview and don't let Tabbytha's illness distract you for that time. It would be great to hear that Tabbytha gets some great vet care and you have a shiny new job tomorrow. We will all be thinking good things for you.

Smoktech Groove Recall

Hi all, Smoktech seems to have confirmed a defect on the Groove.
I am not clear yet if this is both the metal (yes) and the plastic (not sure) from what I know now, it is just the metal that is a safety hazard as the batteries inside can touch the metal and short, this should not be able to happen with plastic but I do not know for sure yet.

I only carried the plastic versions, if you have purchased a groove from me, please hold your email to me until I find out for certain the plastic one is also affected. If it is I will contact you for arrangements.

Please keep in mind it's just me and Jamie here and there are a lot of Grooves. I am working on it and will let you all know if this affects Plastic Groove owners as well.

This absolutely brings me to tears sonic, Tabbytha has been on my mind so much, so many prayers going up for her, and for you. I know how hard it must be to focus on the interview when you are worried about her, praying for the best outcome for both of you.

Smoktech Groove Recall part II

Ok, so I am trying to get information from Smoktech, in the meantime I have opened a plastic version, the one I carried I see no possible way for this item to short, there are no metal parts in there for the battery to short on like the metal version

I will of course confirm all this with smoktech but on the surface it seems the plastic version, at least to me, is safe for now, I will post anything I hear from them.

If anyone can spot something here let me know.

Eric, when might the base be coming back in for the ProTanks? I missed the last 2 runs... hoping to catch the next batch.

I will be have them tomorrow but I am not sure how I will release them, they go so fast that it makes it a completely miserable day, so I might do it in stages. I think what I am going to do is release a certain amount of them a night until I am out.
Put them on at 4:00PM-4:30PM and then when they go put more on the next night at 4:00PM-4:30PM

I am sorry for doing it this way but the last two times really stressed us a lot, we weren't able to sleep or eat, it added close to 200 orders each time added to normal volume it just made it very difficult to operate.

so Check starting tomorrow night 4:00PM-4:30PM, if I am out after that time, check the next night and so on. I have a back up order coming in so I should be able to keep it up most of the week. This way I'll be able to get some sleep :)

Being busy is good, but sleep is necessary. :)

Good afternoon DV!!

Eric, thanks for Discount Vapers...ordered, confirmed, packed and shipped in one day!! :)

Sonic, please update when you have a chance :)

Interview went really well, we got along well, and I really like the opportunity. He has more interviews and I should know something by the end of the week or early next week.

Tabbytha didn't fare as well. :( Vet is now convinced it's cancer that has metastasized and there's not much he can do at this point. He gave her a steroid shot since that made her want to eat last week, but so far she's not eating (she gets up & acts like she wants to, but then smells it and remembers it hurts or makes her uncomfortable, so she doesn't). Although a moment ago I was snacking on some lunch ham (all natural, no nitrates, etc.), and she got interested and ate a few tiny pieces of that before going back to bed. She also drank some water earlier. Hopefully that will keep improving, we'll see. If the steroids do the trick, then we'll try steroid pills at home.

So spend money I don't have on surgery (which he doesn't recommend at this point) and/or radiation/chemo, maybe a specialist, or wait until she takes zero food/water, and put her down...? <sigh> :(

On the plus side, I had a great interview, and I love my Protanks! :)

I'm so sorry that you have to make such difficult decisions at this point, regarding little Tabbytha. Your heart will lead you if you listen, and we are all here to support you in whatever choice you ultimately come to. Great to hear the interview went well, I kind of had a feeling it would. ((((sonics))))
