Thank you Tina! I would eat about 10 of them right now if they were sitting here!

You're welcome! I would, too, if I had the real thing!

Good night, everyone! I'm actually tired and am going to get some rest! Hope you all have a great one, yourself! :)

   now that's hilarious! If you could only see my kitchen wall above my breakfast bar, it is positively covered in little notes and papers to remind me of this and that. The side of the fridge looks pretty similar, overflow that wouldn't fit on the wall. That's what ya call wallpaper, Zooker style. :)

Zooker, I can't even blame my bad memory on age. I was this way when I was young. My Dad once told me I had the worst memory for a young person he had ever seen. He asked me what I was going to do when I got old. Well, now I'm old(er) and my memory is still the same...bad.

I did the Longview Rodeo (Cowlitz County Fair & Rodeo) for about ten years. Now that Rodeo is the same weekend as the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro, OR. I enjoy Hillsboro much more, so given the option, I'll head to Hillsboro from The Dalles.

RodeoGeorge

Gadz George I wish I knew further in advance I love going to rodeos! I was introduced by my Daddy at the Stock Yards in Fort Worth! I used to tell people up here that they don't know what a real cowboy looks like! LOL I worked in a country western bar in Fort Worth as a cocktail and food waitress when I was young and used to have a blast flirting with all the Cowboys and bikers lol (I was a biker) I had a little Yamaha Virago.

Anyhoo if you're ever coming to a rodeo near hear give me a shout out... I'd love to go! I bet I could even talk my hubby into it lol :D

Husbands, wives, and children are an important part of one of the few, true American Sports, the Rodeo. Most Rodeos are great family events.

About 5 more driving hours and I'll be hanging speakers in the arena as soon as I can get a crane. Yee haw!

Good Morning DVers.

We have 2 big events very year here in town and one being the annual Rodeo. Its always fun and draws a big crowd.

I'd wouldn't be totally honest if I didn't say I liked the annual Chocolate Festival a wee bit better.

Congrats cnew!!!

Congratulations!!

Thank you Woody and lilac!

How is everyone doing this fine Sunday morning? It is about 70oF here, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze coming in off the Pacific. Absolutely lovely day. My garden is growing like gangbusters!!! Super green, everything in bloom and lots of flying insects! The dragonflies are everywhere today, and it seems like they are the size of an RC airplane! My plants are in need of serious dead-heading...:( roses and geraniums especially.) This is the time of year when xeriscaping seems really smart!!!!!
But I hate having just succulents and palms and no grass. :(
Anyone else love lantana? I discovered them when we were living in DFW. They are amazing hot weather plants. I put some small 5 gal ones in my yard as a fence border about 2 years ago and they are humongous now!
Also put in some honeysuckles and clematis along my fence and they are huge and climbing everywhere. Summer is the best!

Sorry to bore you with my gardening, but I love to share my (nature) joy!

Here's a shot I took just now of my baby in front of the lantanas!(proud mom!)[yes, i know i need to fill the hummingbird feeder!!!]

I woke up around 8:30 because my blackout blinds weren't all the way down but I felt really tired still so I thought I'd lay down for a bit more. I pulled the blackout blinds down and just woke up around 20 minutes ago because my sister in law knocked on the door... At 11:55 :what::screwy:

Hi Ree,

I sooooo miss DFW. All three of my babies were born there. One at the Plano hospital and the little two at the Las Colinas one.
All my very best friends are still there. Our closest friends still live in Keller. I worked in Arlington for years.
We lived in The Colony and later in Irving for about 10 years, until we moved for my hubby's work. Although the heat is ridiculous in the summer, the people are incredible. Friendly, kind, just amazing all around.
We planted lantana in our gardens there, and our crepe myrtles did so well. You know who I really miss? Neil Sperry!!! Haha!
don't know if anyone here even has heard of him, but he is a garden guru! Wish we had someone like him here in CA. I learned sooo much just listening to him. Different zone here, so alot of his tips are good, but some just don't work.

Made it to The Dalles, OR and settled into the Motel for a week. Crane coming in the morning to hang speakers, and then I'll complete the sound system installation and get out of their way so they can water and work the arena. A meritorious day off on Tuesday, and then the Rodeo starts Wed.

Been alternating between two ProTanks and one PuriTank. I have the original PuriTank coil in it, and appears to be fading. Not holding up as long as the ProTank coils IMO. I'll be installing a ProTank coil in the PuriTank this evening.

I'm pretty much a chain vaper, especially when driving. Went through two ProTanks and one PuriTank of juice on the way up here Saturday. The ProTank coils/heads normally last me more than a week, and sometimes two weeks. I don't clean or dry burn them, as at the low cost it's not work the effort, again IMO.

After dinner it will be re-fill and re-charge time. Thanks to Eric I have a good supply of Apple and GrannyApple juice with me, as well as some other juices I use for variation.

I'll post if the ProTank coil works longer in the PuriTank.
