Good morning friends. Yes I did get the car back last night! :) I've driven it once, to go get gas. I was so nervous! Lol. I haven't driven in two years, and I've never driven this car, so its just going to take me a minute I think to get a feel for the car. The brakes are really touchy and its FAST! Please everyone pray for me, I'm driving it for the first time alone today (my dad was in the car last night). Thanks everyone! :D

Take it easy Mario, you'll be fine.

Ok there speed racer slow it down now but have fun and enjoy that new car smell!

We put my dog Star and cat Nimh down today Star started having multiple seizures a day again so it was time and poor Nimh has battled horrible allergies going into upper respiratory infections since we got her in 09 and got sick again so we called it quits this time and buried them together at the base of an oak tree. My poor husband had to do it because I just kept putting Star off and never could get the gumption to do it... I was able to put my dog Missy down but Star is so special she was my baby girl... I took care of her at the kennel when she was brought to it with her mother and litter at 4 weeks old and took her home with me when she was 8 weeks old and she was over 14.5 years old. She was my pet training demo dog and ferocious protector! She grabbed my ex by his nose when he was tickling me and had me pinned on the ground... She would've easily given her life for me and today I had to take hers.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Ree, you didn't take her (their) lives honey. You today unselfishly gave them a new life. One without pain and suffering. They honor you right now for being the Beautiful 'Mom' you are and setting them unto a life of Health & Happiness. You will meet again ♥ Embrace their Spirits, they are still with you & will always be around you until you get to see, hold, hug, & kiss them again

So sorry to hear about your furkids Ree, one day you will meet again, of that I have no doubt. Rest in peace, Star and Nimh.

Kaleb, I'm thrilled to hear your out driving your car. I'm so super curious, can you explain the hand controls to me? I think it would take me quite some time to get used to that, and I've been driving for a million years. (Oh, btw, I HATE driving!!) I think I'd probably be putting my feet through the floor Fred Flintstone style trying to stop, because I wouldn't be used to using hand controls. Super amazing that's available for you though, another step toward independence, right?!

Thank you Zooker and Monkey Mamma! I feel better now it's just hard to do... I know it was the right thing though and the right way to do it.

Kaleb PLEASE explain your jet plane hand controls... My husband has hand controls because of the foot drop in his right leg I'm wondering if they're similar...

I bought my new car today, it's a 2003 PT Cruiser. I know some of you warned me about the PT Cruiser. It is the only car I can comfortably get in because of my back conditions. Getting in and out of a car is too painful for my back. I paid $4300 CAD for it, well within my price range. The settlement check I got from State Farm was $4189 CAD. I took it for a test drive, it drove great.

That's the exact reason I loved my PT Crusier so much. The seats were so comfortable on your back and you sat up high enough. Just keep it serviced is all I can say. I miss my old car but I had to get rid of it from costing to much to repair :)

I'm so sorry Red! At least they aren't in any more pain right?! You did a good thing!

Its just a lever on the left side of my steering wheel, I press down towards the floor for gas and in towards the hood for break. Its pretty cool!!!

Yeah that's what my husband has but he also has a knob on the steering wheel too and the breaking mechanism goes off to the right but the handle is on the left and he has the option to lock it out too so I can still drive his FJ Cruiser
