Whew, I thought your reaction would be much worse! ;)

Not all airborn fireworks are good! I was once up on a balconey, blissfully buzzed on some alcohol-laced fizzy delight, kicked back in a lawnchair, watching the lighting of fireworks, when one that was meant to spin on the ground, decided to take flight--flew right up and bounced off my knee, zipped right past my head, bounced off a window and landed who knows where. Oh dear, crossing my fingers we get outta that BBQ before they pull out the lighters.

I detest fireworks! If I am able to, I sit on my three-season porch and watch them from there, where I am safer!

The police here have already arrested a few people bringing illegal fireworks in already. Our police go to PA and follow drivers back and arrest them when they get into the jurisdiction. I'm not sure if I agree with the method, but I would rather not be assaulted by random fireworks either. Some people...*sigh*

The police here don't even care! Our neighbors are lighting theirs off in the back alley so noone can see them. Our driveway is off that alley, so I hope they don't burn our cars or garage down! I remember people lighting them off in the middle of the street and cars having to stop just to avoid running over them! One year, when I was living in a mobile home park, someone's house burned down and the man inside died all because a firework shot through his trailer! It was so sad! People can be so ignorant!

So, everyone please stay safe tonight, and still try to enjoy the evening! I'll be in bed by the time the major fireworks are displayed, as hubby will be going to work. Take care!

Shwew back home safe here too, Stoney! The food was good...the fireworks....gahhhhhhhh.....there were several little kids there, and of course they were begging their daddy to start lighting things, so they were setting things off as soon as we got there and it was still light out.

Very windy and chilly, so lighting things proved to be a challenge, but he was getting the job done. The only injuries were to the 2 little boys, from running around, first kid ran his face right into the corner of a lawn chair, the second little boy ran past his dads truck and bloodied his nose on the mirror, and then about an hour later, he ran around the truck again and clipped his right temple on the open tailgate, talk about a Fred Flintstone bump! YeeeeOwwwch!! We're home safe and sound now, left before it got too crazy!

Oh, and guess what, there were cookies and I didn't have any!

Ahh, yeah, kind of similar here, except it's the Oregonians who have much stricter laws regarding what's a legal firework there, so they drive over here to buy their "good stuff". Having said that, there's much "gooder good stuff" at the indian reservation, so plenty of peeps go there too, and there's plenty of garage chemists too, who make their own, thanks to the internet and all the great directions to create things.

The worst 4th of July fireworks related thing that ever happened to me was 15 years ago or so...we had gone to the tow yard where my husband was working at the time, for a party with his co-workers, and since it was right down by Fort Vancouver, we were gonna get a slammin' view of the big fireworks show.

Well, of course people were drinking and getting crazy...and while I was kicked back in my chair, awaiting the big show, one of the dum-chit drivers had a "M-1000" my husband later told me it was equivalent to 1/2 a stick of dynamite--the guy lit the thing just on the other side of the parking lot, it was the loudest thing ever, not only that, it literally shook my brain, it made my jaw slam shut, I was seeing stars, I had an instant migraine and got sick, my son bit his tongue, ....blech...my husband ended up putting my car on the hook and brought me home in the tow truck.

Oh yeahhhhhhh the 4th, good times for Ol' Zooks. lol

OMG I think I'd have to get my pink pistol... Urgh we've always done huge fireworks displays but we've always been safe! We went to a large picnic today and had a wonderful time! All safe and sane!

Sounds like most of you had a good day for Independence Day! Glad to hear! Good job, Zooker, on not eating the cookies! I know how hard it is to overcome temptation! Fireworks were being set off like crazy around here, but they seemed to have stopped before midnight, luckily! I had left the radio on to help with the dogs, so they would not bark when they heard them. They did really well with that.

Hubby's birthday is today, but we don't have the funds to celebrate. I can't have cake or ice cream, anyway. We bought vape supplies a few days ago and those were his early birthday present! He just doesn't like the fact that he has to work on his birthday. He called me on his lunch break and told me that one of the supervisors said "Happy Birthday" to him, at least. Usually they mail a birthday card, but they have a new store manager. Things have been different around there since she arrived almost a year ago.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good day, today! I'm sure I'll be back around to check things out! :)

I've lived to tell the tale. The party and the fireworks were both great :thumb: I hope you guys had a nice one too.

Sorry I don't have any fireworks horror stories :D

Glad everyone had a safe holiday. I saw a professional fireworks display gone wrong on the news this morning that reminded me of one I was at over 20 years ago that went bad the same way. Fireworks are definitely not good when they tip over and go off into the crowd. There were fireworks and gunshots all around here last night but we passed an entire 4th without any calls for injuries, fires, or DWI wrecks. It was quite nice. :D

Going to run to the vet for the monthly flea/heartworm preventer, the Tractor Supply for for dog food, then to the trainer for another round of classes for the boxer. She doesn't really need it but it keeps her from getting bored and hubby enjoys it. I hope to get her through the "Good Citizen" test soon and then on to search and rescue training. She has a long attention span for a boxer and she loves to find things so it seems like a good job for her. I may even mow the goat pasture today.

I am awfully motivated this morning. Maybe I've had too much sleep and too much coffee.

Have a great day, DV'ers

Glad there were no calls in your area last night, Firechick! Sounds like you have a busy day, today! Enjoy it! Maybe I need to start drinking coffee so I can get some of that stuff you call motivation, too! Have a great day, yourself! :)

Important!

If you have recently purchased Evod Coils in 1.8ohms from me in the last week.

This affects only eVod coils in 1.8ohms and no other item on the website.

It has come to my attention that we have had a mixup with eVod coils in 1.8ohm some of the boxes were packed with ProTank 1.8ohm coils instead of the shorter eVod coils.

While the ProTank coils will work in the eVod this is not what you would have ordered. If you have ordered eVod coils from me in the last 10 days between 06/25/2013 and today July 5th 2013 and received longer coils than expected please contact us, we will arrange an exchange at no charge to you (obviously) I don't have any yet but I will soon and I'll make it right.

This is a factory error but entirely MY fault not theirs because it is something I should have caught but didn't.
I was actually told of this and fixed the error (so I thought) but it was a bigger error than expected and we just didn't catch it.

Please email me if this has happened to you

Now this leaves me with a problem, I have ProTank coils in evod packages...

so if someone wants ProTank coils and is willing to overlook the fact that they are in Evod boxes, I will do a 4 pack for 3 pack deal.

I will probably create a special item for it this weekend when I get it all sorted out and post a ProTank special item.
anyone game for that? good idea? or should I just vape a lifetime supply of 1.8's myself
