Ha, yep us too, we had crazy wind and rain yesterday, I considered going to Lowe's to buy the supplies needed to build an Ark. We are expecting another wave of it sometime today. I'm not staying in though, I'm going to a warehouse sale to hopefully score a killer deal on some hiking boots and work shoes for the ol' guy and myself. Happy Sunday !!

Oh Ree, Sounds like Sunday will be a lovely morning to stay warm and snuggled under the covers listening to rain tapping on the roof and windows! Then take a nice, slow morning stretch over to the coffee maker, wrap your hands around a steaming cuppa joe (sugar and cream to taste!), wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket on the couch and enjoy the Sunday paper.

Oh, how I love the rain!!! If you're really in luck, maybe you can round up some real logs and burn a wood fire. The best smell in the world on a chilly, wet day.


When we get lucky enough to have a real, rainy day, I like to make homemade chicken noodle soup in the crock pot, so the whole house smells yummy. Then the girls and I bake up those Pillsbury crescent rolls to go with it. Later on, the kids like to make 'real' hot cocoa (what they call the kind with Hershey's cocoa powder, hot whole milk and granulated sugar--oh, and mini marshmallows or whipped cream from a can! They think homemade whipped cream isn't real 'cause it doesn't come out of a pressurized canister!)

Anyhow, enjoy your day, relax, stay warm, dry and cozy!

Absolutely on the fire we have a wood burning stove as our heat source! It's been going off and on for a week now... This has been one wild and wooly storm though lol!

Zooker good luck on the boots! I really hope it's not raining to hard tonight because it's birthday night at one of my favorite AA meetings tonight and this is my AA birthday month so if it's raining to hard I won't be able to see to drive and go.

well, pretty dry right now, I guess this is the calm before the storm? Expecting storm #3 within the next couple of hours. However, we got to stand in line, in the pouring down rain this morning, for about 35 min waiting for the KEEN factory to open the door for the sale, omigosh, there were soooooooooooo many people, we got there nice and early, and were about 10th in line. We wore our raincoats though, so we were dry little mud ducks while we waited. Ol' guy got 2 pairs of boots, and I got a pair of hiking boots and some sandals, I'm absolutely thrilled with the savings, we never do stuff like that so this was a real treat.

Aww, shoot! Hope your cold leaves you quickly kiddo, do you happen to use a netti pot? If not, gargle with some warm salt water, it really does well to wash away germs and bacteria, feel well soon bud.

Night driving is not my strong suit and forget it if its raining, the glare blinds me~~hope you make it out and about safely!

Yup Zooker forget driving at night in the rain it's terrifying because I can't see and just trying to get home curves jump out at me on roads that I know well and now we're in a house that we moved into January 2012 so I don't know these roads well enough to even attempt it! Plus my meeting is in olympia a good 30 minutes away in normal driving conditions so no thanks to trying that at night in the rain!

Zooker I hear that! If my great grandma tree as I call the old growth fir falls I hope she falls away from the house! That snow storm we had in 2012 took 22 limbs off her and some of the limbs had 150+ rings just limbs were that old so she's a big ol' gal and his family keeps trying to get us to cut her down but I won't let them touch her... She's my hugging tree!
