Thanks for the warm wishes. Unfortunately we made the decision with the vet to put Sprite to sleep tonight. Something was blocking her little bladder from emptying properly and it had swollen to the size of a grapefruit (she was only a 16 lbs dog) and started leaking internally. She was in a lot of pain and suffering and I didn't want that to continue. The vet concurred so she went to sleep with me gently stroking her face talking about the rainbow bridge and meeting again.
