make sure it's a fully charged batt, I'm sure you already did

4 quick button pushes should get you some kind of light on the button ... 4 more should cycle the volt ranges

maybe remove batt and let it reset itself ? ... if it does that, I dunno ?

other than that, just fiddle with it <shrug> ... sry for your troubles :( mine always worked good

EDIT: some flat top 18650's may not work ... recommended batt is the Ultrfire XSL 18650, a small-ish button top

The lights didn't come on. It just flashed blue. I did charge it. I got the battery from Eric's site - the AW IMR 1600mah. I tried putting a magnet on the top, in case the battery was too short. Then the lights worked; I got the green, red, blue, and pink. But no vapor came out. I tried it with a few 1.25ohm dual coil cartos, then several attys, then finally a Boge 2.0 single coil carto.

You might want to post here in the future and maybe others will help. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/discountvapers/284753-customer-product-support-thread.html Now that Eric has a forum his customers are going to have to help him out with answering questions and maybe someone that has an idea will post. Wish I could help you but I'm not too smart when something doesn't work. I did finally buy a voltage meter and that's something huge for me. LOL Now I just need to find someone to teach me how to use it.

sounds like you got the troubleshooting techniques down, at least you now have a starting point

my AW IMR 2000 mah works fine, so your battery definitely should fire it ... if the XL3 is working correctly :(

I'm surprised you got lights but no vapor  if there is energy powering the lights, how could it not be sending power to the atty/cart ?

I've never used the XL3, but only time I've seen the led light up and not gotten vapor is when batt has barely had a charge... not enough of one to actually fire, apparently. I had some issues with that when my charger was wonky, or battery was dying. Not sure what might be going on with your situation, but if you have a multimeter, I'd check the batt and charger first thing.

Aha! My voltage meter got no reading at all when I hooked it up. I have the screw-in kind.

Sounds like a bad head, how did you charge it (not trying to blame just asking) it should be charged outside of the case, not inside. Email me and I will swap it out :( sorry.

Eric, I think you said sometime ago that you would be getting wicks for the Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizers. Am I remembering correctly? Do you have them? I am interested in getting longer wicks for the CE4+ that go down to the bottom of the tank so you don't have to keep tipping it over when the juice level drops. These are hands down(in my opinion) the best, no leaks, no gurgling, easy to take apart and clean/dryburn and they should last indefinitely if you can replace the coil/wick assembly. If you aren't do you (or anyone else) know where they can be had? I have been googling but no joy.

Ooh, if the ego clearos had the ability to have longer wicks installed, i'd definitely be all over that. I fell madly in love with these clearo dual coils, which performed better than anything I've ever tried w flavor and vapor and throat hit, but the dang things CRACK! lol Frequently, and with super delicate care. That was a bummer. They were pretty loaded with big fat wicks, though. I've been praying they make them with stronger plastic, but in the meantime, I've been trying to figure out how to make one of those out of the ego clearos. Long fat wicks are definitely a step in the right direction!

I am looking for the coil/wick assembly for the Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizer but with wicks that reach the bottom of the tank.

OK, I watched this video and I guess I can buy the wick and just wrap wire around it. Anyone know what gauge the wire is? If I change the gauge of the wire I am changing the ohms so I could make LR versions or HR versions. Has anyone tried this?

Yep, I've never seen it done with clearomizers, but i know people do it. What you want is to look up tutorials on building a 'rebuildable or repairable atomizer'. That will tell you what gauge wire, and also how many coils around equals how many ohms, and stuff like that. I assume it would work the same with clearomizers. Hoping someone here has some specific tuts for you, but those rebuilable atty tuts will at least explain the theory.

I have both the wick and I have ego Vision Clearomizers coming WITH longer wicks, made especially by my request :)
I just haven't put the wick on my site yet...(I also have wire)

Note to all, I'd rather we didn't link to other competing websites in my thread...
