Ooh, glad to hear the long haired ce4s are rocking!

And Eric... thanks so much for checking! I totally read that wrong, somehow. Oh drat.. well that one only charges one of the 4 I need. I basically need to do some basic 'batts and chargers for dummies' learnin' then go back to your charger section and see what's the best fit. lol Plus a few people have mentioned that using IMRs in chargers not designed for them can screw up the life and make them croak early.. which is exactly what's been happening to me. lol I'll get it figured. I'll tell you what.. ecf helps me out so much. I kinda thought chargers were chargers... I'd

And thanks, cmantis! I appreciate the science experiment! rofl

From what I've learned Rachel, the xtar chargers are just great for the AW IMR's. :)

Yeah, I'm thinking so, too. Some kind soul just sent me a link to vid review on one. I'm not sure if its the exact same model or not yet, but supposed to be a good review on Xtar, if anyone is curious about quality and what they'll do etc.
Here's the youtube link. Not sure if this is ok to post or not, Eric, so feel free to gank it if its not. Looks like she's talking about an xtar one that only charges 2 batts, but they look at first glance to be the same sizes, so details should carry over pretty well. Oh, she's talking about the WPII charger, which DV also carries. Good review! Oh man... that is a great charger! You ca even plug your passthroughs on it (or anything charged via usb) it looks like.

Ok, I'm 100% sold... only thing she doesn't mention is whether they're good for IMR batts, but you guys already said they were, right? She even says its better, safety wise, than the Pila, which is a $50 charger instead of the $12.99 DV price. Or might be $18.99... I'm not sure which of those two DV offers is the exact one being reviewed. But still, HECK of a good deal. Its not worth taking a chance on a cheap one to me, when quality can be had so reasonably. ;)

BTW, Eric... are you sure there's no spacers included in with the 6 channel xtar? She shows them as being included in the 2 channel one, so that's why I'm asking.

You're very welcome, taterbug. Can't wait to get my new chargers et all when I get paid. lol Scotay87 really helped me out. I was hunting for info on quality chargers and batts in another thread, and he pmd me with that review. I was thrilled to find out the xtars at DV were such great quality. They looked cool, but now I know they're considered a great value and safe, so that's a no brainer.

You guys are going to love Eric's Xtar chargers!! It's the most economical option for a great quality charger if you don't want to spring for a Pila. Plus they come with a car adapter, and a usb port so you can charge and vape at the same time, (I think, I never tried it); or whatever other application you can think for it.

Ok, just had to drop this here as well, for anyone else wondering if the WP6 II version will charge the batt sizes they need. According to this, the spacers come in with the charger (but waiting for Eric to verify that part, but as you can see the spacers are just little plastic dials that shorten the channel when they're screwed in. The exact wording is as such 'The charger is supplied with spacers that can be mounted on the plus terminal on the charger. Because the spring in the charger is longer than a spacer, it is possible to adapt the charger for any cell that is below 70mm in length.')

Chart shows that it will charge...

17670
18650
without the spacers

and
18500
17500
18350
16340/RCR123
14500/AA
with the spacers

Plus there's tons more data, and some close up photos and charts. Further down, in the comments, it gives some good tips, such as if you want to charge 3 batts or less, use slots 1, 3, and 5, and its not recommended to charge batts under 600mah. I don't understand most of the technobabble, but some of you might. I'm just thrilled that it'll handle all the sizes I need to charge. lol Again, this is an independent review, so its not by Xtar, but this guy clearly knows what he's talking about, and says xtar provided the charger for review, so guessing he's reputable. Everyone commenting seems to agree with all his assessments, so that's good enough for me. ;)

I found that the technobabble IS hard to understand, but it's pretty easy to just play with it and figure it out. I meant the instructions, not your link ;)

The candlepower forum is a wealth of info, I have found! But I cheated. I PMd some of the guys here that seem to know an awful lot about batteries. They were glad to share info.

Yeah, that's my typical method of learnin', too! lol I don't pm anyone, usually cause I don't know who to ask offhand, but I'll post a question here , and then if a few people all refer me to the same product, like with the xtar chargers, I then go looking for independent reviews and comments to back up the ecf info. I'd never heard of 'candlepower' forum before, but the first few results looking for reviews on that charger were all from there, so figured it was a good bet. lol Glad to know its a good source of info, though! I need basic 'is it good or is it junk' reviews pretty often, so bookmarking that one for sure. ;)

Can the new CE4+ be used on a go-go batt? If so do I just need a go-go to 510 adapter?

Thanks

WendallB :vapor:

Yes but you need two adapters, the first, the Go-go to 510 and then a 510 to eGo, this is due to the recessed threads, but it does work well :)

I tried making a few liquids with some citric acid, just wanted to see if if added throat hit, I know some vendors add it so I figured I give it a shot.

NO NO NO NO, bad stuff... even at 1-2 drops it gave throat hit for sure but a burny type of throat hit. Not good at all.
Won't be adding any of that!

Eric, you have done it again!!! ANOTHER satisfied customer here!!! Placed my first order on Wednesday at about the time of your post office run and it arrived this morning(Friday). Very professional with a personal touch. You earned a top spot on my very short list of vendors. I am a Leo user so......WAIT, did I just say that out loud in front of the GO-GO Nation???

+1 Loyal Customer
