Not to shabby huh.:toast:

Approaching 70ml (modded for 100% VG) on the same carto. Cleaned and dry burned every 2-3 tankfuls. Just amazing little critters.

Do you take yours apart for cleaning? I would be afraid that the tube would get loose if taken apart that many times but it sounds like you have done it upwards of 15 times to the same carto. That is a really good selling/buying point. I just received mine today and so far I am really liking them.

Yeah, the CE3 definitely is an amazing clearo. Had them for a little over a week and take them apart to clean without issues. I did have one of them come loose at the post side on Monday, I think I vaped it too hot and it expanded. Never fear, though, I rotated the tube around and its good as new:) as long as you fill them upside down, I have had no leaks. Also, recommend to lift the coil just a hair if its not even with the slots. This will double the vapor and keep it from flooding. Do this only if the wicks are not level with the slots and very carefully. So far they are my favorite clearo.

Yes, Ive taken it and others apart many times.

The tube needs to be wiggled a bit while pulling, and is much easier after the first time. They really are a snap to clean.

Key thing is to be sure the silicone plug is seated properly. Any air leak at all, and it will dump your juice.

They're great for DIY juice testing to. Much easier to completely remove a flavor from than a regular atty.

BTW. The tubes are strong, but not indestructible. I have broken 2 tubes. One from dropping, and the other from trying to stuff a tight fitting drip tip in.

I had my first misshap with the V8. I was vaping an old style CE4 (short wick) at 3.0v and when I went to press the button my thumb must have hit the voltage down button and the way the V8 works is it jumps to 6v. Not a good thing as it burnt out the CE4 instantly. I'll have to be more carefull in the future.

I have noticed that the V8 seems to really put out more power them a 3.7 battery. I normally use an Indulgence and the V8 at 3.0v produces more heat and vapor then the Indulgence with fresh batteries. I don't have the equiptment to test this I guess I should invest in some.

I got my V8 today also and so far is working very good with my E-1 that also came today. I really like them both. I do wish the V8 had a flat bottom so it would stand up better. I'm afraid it will get knocked off my desk and break. That is the only negative I see so far. I'm pretty rough on my PV's and that will probably be the demise of this one. I've dropped my LT several times onto my hardwood floor and it didn't hurt it at all but I'm afraid if I do that with my V8 it will break. I really like the buttons and lcd display. It is very easy to change voltages up or down and easy to hit the fire button

mine stands stable no matter what's attached to it. what it's standing on is even tilted

I decided to add some color and decoration to it. so I'm cleaning up the molding lines and seams I will either do a splatter paint like a granite look or a design with a polyurethane finish. I'll post pics when it's done.

best place to start is the bottom of it

Thank you. I will be more comfortable and careful taking it apart. Do you think it extends the life of the clearo cleaning it after 2 or 3 refills? I will probably go through that many fills each day.

Just a note to everybody out there that the V8 will not work with the 18350 battery. The battery must have the nipple top. Darn and I had extras of the flat tops! Thanks Eric

I have several CGR18650CH batteries that are flat top. I have scraped the top contact to remove some of the plating, and then using a very hot soldering iron placed a blob of solder on the top plate to create a nipple.

You need a HOT iron so that you so not heat the battery.

Back in the day I used to do that building my own RC car battery packs. Exacto knife to make a crosshatch on the battery end so the solder would stick to it. A 45 watt iron will do the trick.

Cleaning often won't extend the life of the carto. If anything, I'd say repeated cleaning/dry-burning will decrease the overall life. How often you decide to clean them will depend on how quickly a particular juice gunks up the coil. I clean mine probably more than is really needed. Considering I'd have tossed a box of filler carto's for the amount of juice ran through just one of these, I rather keep the vape clean and fresh and just replace it when it goes belly up.

3 methods of Protections:
1. Short Circuit Protection: If short circuit happens, the battery will shut down. The battery won't go back to work until short circuit ends.
2. 10 seconds shutoff (hold button for 10 seconds it will shut off).

I think that wouldn't have happened with the L Rider or the Lava Tube because if I'm not mistaken they have protection against that very scenario and will reduce the voltage to what the carto can accept. So, I guess the V8s don't have that protection.
