Shrubburbia Ma.
I just lost my 2nd CE4+ to dry burning while cleaning it. I want to order some wick material to rebuild them but I am unsure what to get. I plan on doing this enough that I need a larger quantity of wick than Eric sells. The wick in the CE4+ v2(long wicks) appears to be approx. 1/32" diameter(.79 mm). Does anyone have any recommendations for wicks? Who out there has been rebuilding wicks? The only problem I see is getting the 2 wires that are wrapped around the wick to end up in the right place. My take is one goes outside of the inner metal tube and silicone sleeve so that it touches the outer metal tube and the other goes inside the inner silicone tube so it touches the inner metal tube. I haven't tried this yet but I can see where it might be frustrating trying to get the wires in the right place. I'm looking for tips from people who have done this. I have watched that Russian video on rebuilding these but there is no audio and you can't really see what he is doing when he reinserts the wire and wick. Any suggestions on wicking material and rebuilding gratefully appreciated. I got the CE4+ v2 about 5 weeks ago and have used them every day since. They are fabulous in my opinion. I have dry burned them many times, I believe you need to do it at least twice a week.

Eric you rock!!! The AW 18350s are still showing out of stock, am I missing something?? Also, to clarify, it looks like in the picture they have a button top, but can't be sure.... These do work in the v8 right??

Oops, thanks, I forgot to add the number in stock to the website, fixed.

I wasn't trashing you Eric, DV is, hands down, the best hardware vendor on ECF. I have asked a couple of times but didn't see a response, Eric, are you still carrying the L Riders?

LOL, I know, didn't think you were, just pointing out that a 30.00 device will not have all the features of the more expensive.
It's more of a "what can you hope for" than a "yo dude it's 30 bucks.." :)

I was still fixing my broken drain pipe when I wrote that so I was short timed :)

the LRider, I am fairly certain I did respond, probably not directly but I am waiting on version (next) and not sure which one I will carry, they do not sell well even with my low price. Not sure why, add to that the PITA that LRider is, thier ridiculous delivery schedule and it becomes.. hard.

There are so many new knockoffs and other devices like the Lambo that offer a bit more from companies that will shop when expected. I just don't want to make another poor decision.

I think that wouldn't have happened with the L Rider or the Lava Tube because if I'm not mistaken they have protection against that very scenario and will reduce the voltage to what the carto can accept. So, I guess the V8s don't have that protection.

Yea I didn't think it did at this price point but I sure wish you could lock it like a lot of the VVs have. I have been noticing something (only with the one I'm using so far) and that is once in awhile the VV will jump to 5.0v and start flashing for no apparent reason and will not fire the cart. If I unscrew and then replace the cart it starts working again. This has happened 3-4 times today and with a CE3 and a DV C4+. Not sure what's up but I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Order placed for my very first VV, the Twist, from DiscountVapers. Eric, waiting on the invoice and I will get it squared away:)

From what I have read, and looking at people with similar tastes, the 4.8v limit should be more than adequate for my needs. I am also a HUGE clearo fan, so no worries on the dual coils for me. I think that anything above 5V will just fry a clearo anyways?

Side note: Does anyone have any experience with the eGo cases that DV sells? I almost got one, but I am not sure which one is the best for the 900mah Twist and/or the e-power 14650. I would love the case to carry at least 3 bottles of juice, 5 clearos, an extra 14650 battery, either the Twist or the e-power (both don't have to fit in at the same time, as one is always in my pocket) and a few paperclips;)

Keep me informed on this one, that seems a bit strange for a simple CE3...
