It will be hard to beat the Vivi Nova for me as far as tanks are concerned. Are you getting any of the Mini Nova's? They are supposedly identical to the ViVi only smaller.
I feel the same way, for the most part, but if this new CE3 tank can combine the ease of filling/maintenance of the Vivi Nova with the flavor of a CE3, I'll be in heaven. Well, as long as it doesn't leak.
As much as I love my Vivi Novas, the flavor is a bit muted compared to CE3s.
I agree the Ce3 are very good just too small and a pain to refill. I think the ones they are talking about, with the bird name, have rubber bottoms and caps like all carto tanks which I don't like.
I was just watching LD's Video Review and I think I was wrong about the rubber ends. I just shined these on as another carto tank when I first saw them and after further checking these do look interesting and I will definately try one.

Also for those wondering...
there is a Steel CE3 tank coming out, some other company is branding it as a bird, but it's just a CE3 in a tank. It's had issues and it's been delayed, it's not a "shipping" problem. It will be here when it is fixed and ready.
I have another vendor friend getting the sample of the fixed one in, when we are both satisfied it passes muster we will get them. The first sample three weeks ago was crap.
Oddly enough this vendor friend ask this company if they could put a steel CE3 that they were making in a tank, and low and behold, they did and sent him the first sample. Is this a coincidence that some other company designed it first and my friend just happened to ask for this exact very same thing at the same time?
I guess it's a mystery
Oddly enough, I previewed/reviewed it about a month ago... and upset many people, since they can't order it yet.
I feel I need to clear something up here for those who might not know.
There has been a lot of talk between the different rebuildable cartos, which one is better etc lately but one thing hasn't been made all that clear.
The Vivi Tank, the Vivi Mini, The Vision, The Thor (and all the others labeled CE5's from other vendors) all take the same heads, so in theory they should all vape the same, if you get a thor, you are getting a 1.6ml conically shaped vivi nova in reality. In practice, I do not see a difference in any of them, I put a genuine Vivi nova head on a thor and a thor head on another one and a vision head on another thor. Filled them up with the same liquid and used them on the same battery.
They all vaped exactly the same to me. I do not claim to be an expert but just based on the look (the same) the vape (the same) and the flavor (slightly muted all the same) they are all identical. I guess there could be differences in the plastic or the shapes of the carts making them slightly different but I do not see it.
I have tested 8 different companies replacement heads and they are all identical, this includes Vision. Right down to the engraving of the ohms.. identical to me.
Granted I could be wrong, but if I cannot tell the difference...

China isn't sitting on it's heels waiting for us to design things to sell. My guy talked to them a long time ago got his sample in 3/4 weeks ago (I was estimating he probably got it same time as you did) , it wasn't good, leaked... they are redoing it, or have, didn't get another sample yet.
He didn't claim to have designed it, just thought it was cool that they were sending it when he asked for one. He's a cool dude
I can't wait for all the questions I'll get:
"hey is that the [insert bird name here] tank?" "Do you have the [insert bird name here]"

So LD does the mini Nova have 510 threads instead of ego? Does it have same type of base that doesn't leak?

I've filled this tank many times, and not a single leak. That makes me hopeful that I received a more updated version, and that the one you will be getting, will be just as awesome as mine is. I really love this tank, and I think you will too.
As for getting things early, I do. There are manufacturers in China, like Smoktech, that understand reviewers can help them, and work directly with us. Yes, you need to be a well know reviewer, but they like me anyway.
It does have a 510 connection, and isn't eGo threaded. It has a flat bottom, like the larger Vivi. I prefer the Mini Vivi over the regular Vivi. I think the confined space helps it to wick better. It is pretty awesome.
I get asked a lot if I would get another, if mine broke. Well, mine broke... lol... I will be ordering more when Eric gets them in.

Oh, just so people know... there aren't usually different versions being made for different vendors. The way it works is that they could have one design that they sell to 10 different vendors... then vendor a, b, and c ask for a change. Then they make the change, and start making revision 2 (and only revision 2). Now, revision 2 gets shipped out to different vendors, and then vendors c,d, and f ask for changes.... then they switch the product...etc.
That's why there are different revisions of products out there. It is not that they are making certain revision for a vendor... but they make them because of a vendor, and that vendor may get them first.
Did I confuse anyone?
