We all have a responsibility to society be it taking a dinner over to a friend in need, or an ear to listen to. Our Veterans fight for out freedom, yet we find they cannot find a job. Life is about giving and sharing, not be self absorbing all that it offers. I get at least 10 calendars a year from non-profit organizations...why, because we donate we tithe 10% of our earnings to the causes we are adament about. Hey it is like a cup of coffee a day...anyone can do it. I am very sick with a dibilitating back right now but I figure there a lot more people in pain than I am. Animals are beaten every day, people are beaten every day, even children are beaten....so I cannot complain. Give what you can to those in need...the jacket, gloves, scarves. You have no idea what that means to people in need. When see someone on the street, smile...we all need to smile more. I hope to leave this earth that I was a good person...."love thy neighbor as the thyself", is what the Bible teaches us....life is too short, to be self-absorbed. If anyone is in need of the necicities (sp) of life, try praying....HE does provide...sometimes we don't understand HIS reasoning, but FAITH is mandatory! I am not a Bible Thumper...just someone who believes in that God has a plan for us...sometimes we don't understand.

I have had cancer twice in life....now I ask why Lord..........well, the why is I am strong...I know that I can overcome anything. Think about what has happened in your life to change you? I have a husband who loves me for 43 years, 3 children who I adore, 5 Grandsons who are the light my life....I really cannot ask for anything more...the Cancer is just in the background who made me what I am...the Matriach of a great family.

Thank you Lord for giving me everything in this world I need to be complete as a person!!

# 2 for today :)

I feel so bad for mothers standing in the lines at the grocery store when their babies start screaming at the top of their tiny little lungs until their tiny little faces turn purple & get all wet with tears :(, that I just wanna give them a hug :) Some people will make nasty comments and give dirty looks at the new mom. I wanna say....."Give Her a Break Peoples ! It's Not Like She Turned on a Switch to Make the Baby Cry on Purpose ! She Feels Bad Enough Already !!".......:D

Disclaimer : I do not have any children, but I've seen this happen a gazillion times.......k, rant ova n out

Im sitting in bed sniggling with my handsome Boobie, My 3 legged orange cat....He's just so darn cute! I call him boobie now because the skin around where his arm was amputated started to sag a few years back :) the Vet offered to tighten the skin but frankly I dont care if he's saggy or not. He's PURfect just the way he is. BTW, he climbs trees, snaggs birds out of the air and brings me mice all the time. I guess I forgot to tell him he's handicapped :)

Post #1 today:

I stayed in a 5th wheel in an RV park (between houses) for awhile. Lots of feral cats there. No master plan for keeping the feral population under control, so I imagine when it got overwhelming, management would somehow get rid of them. Three feral cats were born under an adjacent RV while I was there. I managed to trap them and find homes for them while they could still be socialized. Then I trapped the momma cat, took her to a local PAWS rescue center to have her spapyed, then returned her to the park. Today she looks healthier, happier. I was surprised how many people at the park were against taking any positive action for the feral problem. If I was still there, I would still be doing my part to humanely control the feral cat population.

I've been into animal rescue most of my life. Mainly dogs & cats but I've also rescued several baby squirrels that have fallen out of trees, most with their eyes still not open. I've fed the babies with eye droppers until they could start eating mashed bananas and applesauce and then fruits, veggies and nuts. Once they're big enough I've always turned them loose in the yard and made sure they had stuff to eat. I had a couple that stayed in the yard for 2 years and actually stayed tame enough to come take nuts from my hand. I loved that! My neighbors called me the squirrel lady. :)

I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year. Please, if you go out partying, don't drive. I want to see everyone back on here tomorrow.

Hubby's little rat terrier is doing a lot better today. I took him to the vet and had him x-ray'd due to his age. Vet said he pulled a muscle. Got home with him and gave him a couple more deep muscle/joint rubs and the stiffness went away but he's still limping just a tad.
