I don't presume to know what ProVapes thinking is on high Watt vaping, but I think you can expect to see a conservative approach to it, that is to say not at all, unless, and until, they have made a determination as to its safety that satisfies them that it is indeed safe.

Anyone have a suggestion for an rta? I currently have the subtank mini. I have been looking at the Russian but I don't think I could really do any cloud chasing with that. I want something with good airflow but also something with the build quality of the Russian. My subtank leaks somewhat frequently. Any input appreciated.

Edit: I also want a simple build deck like the Russian or kayfun. Looked at the goblin v2 and that looked like a winner until I saw the build deck. Looked confusing.

If you are willing to go authentic, an Erlkoigin has amazing flavor, as does it's cousin, the Erlprinz. Both are medium draw, and are easy to build. You will see, however, that there are many Kayfun aficionados on this thread :).

I guess I failed at what I am getting at :(
When I started vaping Provari was arguably one of the best on the market.
When I left home last year to travel there was one vape shop in driving range of my house, came back 9 months later and there is over a half dozen.
When I go to these new shops and I pull out my P3, pretty much all of the people at these shops never heard of Provari
The first remark is usually about the size, my P3 in 18650 mode with a Atlantis with extended tank is 7 3/4" long.
As soon as I mention $200 for a 20 watt device they start laughing :(
I try to fight the good fight and argue quality and made in the USA but most people don't want to hear it
I think that most the people that bought a P3 already owned and was a fan of the ProVari.

Here is what people throw in my face
The Vapor Shark 40 watt with no warranty cost $104
The MVP 20 watt cost around $35
The disposable iStick 30 watt cost around $30 and $50 for 50 watts.
The Kanger KBOX 40 watts sales for as low as $15.99 at 101 vape :?:

Three things these all have in common is,
1 they are all small
2 they are all Box mods
and 3 they are all NOT a Provari :glare:

I believe this is not a fad and the market for small and powerful is there.
And as far as I seen, no one is making them in a Tube mod ;)
Just my opinion  but, I believe that If Provape would come out with a 40 watt mini with a good battery it would at least double in sales in the first 6 months then that the P3 did in it's first year :pervy:
The market is only getting bigger and I would like to see Provape stay as not only one of the best on the market but one of the most well known. :thumb:

I'm sorry, I misunderstood.

The Provari has always been and may perhaps always be for the moderate vaper. The young, pimple-faced boys who need to prove their manhood by the size of their cloud is not the Provari market. Truthfully, I still believe the majority of the vape market is in the moderate category despite what we see at vape shops. The moderate types get their gear and go home. The cloud chasing, hormone hopping boys are the ones who hang around many of the vape shops.

I could care less if anyone thinks I'm crazy for spending what I've spent on a P3. People probably think I'm nuts for driving a Mercedes Benz. There are cars costing less with higher output engines and I don't care about that either. I buy a Provari because they are the best built regulated mods FOR MY NEEDS. That doesn't mean they have to be the best for your needs.

If you're into cloud chasing, high wattage devices, the reality is Provari may not be the mod maker for you. As far as I can see, they've never tried to be what every vaper should want. Most of us here on the P3 thread are not cloud chasers. But it's also likely if some are, they have more than one device to suit what they're in the mood for.

You're certainly not the first to come here and ask when Provape is coming out with a higher wattage device, or a box mod. I don't have a need for them, which is why I'm the right demographic for what Provape does best. They make the worlds safest regulated mod. Put a Kayfun on a Provape and it's an incredible vaping experience. For me. It's not mandatory it be the same for you.

Well the night shift should be taking over soon. I will say RB must have the best job on the planet. He goes to work and posts on ECF all day long. I can't wait to have to go through 5 or 6 pages of posts in the morning. Bronze didn't post much today as he sat in front of his charger and watched it for 4 hours. Bronze if you are excited for 4 hours or more please call 911 immediately.
Call your doctor for a charge cycle lasting longer than 4 hours...

I've seen this a lot, but have also seen young men express interest in a P3 - my P3. What most surprises them is that I often carry a higher powered mod along with a P3 to our local vape shop, and, as I am a silly bird, occasionally engage in cloud competitions. (I always lose. My lungs are a good bit more damaged than theirs. But I ramble ...that's a bit OT.). When they pop a disposable cover on the DT of my Erl, fired on a P3, they are amazed at the flavor. And they begin to ask questions, despite (or, perhaps, because of) my age. More than one have reported subsequently that they bought a P2.5 or P3. And I, in turn, reported that I bought a new mech and RDA!

Novice vapers. Probably started with hi powered smoke stacks and have no idea there is actually devices that create flavor. :)

Well, isn't that cute. In addition to the VP2 telling you the exact level of voltage of your battery, it also has a blinking battery with bars in it. The closer you get to a full charge, the less bars flash. Tell you what folks, you're in for one hell of a good time when your VP2's show up.

All you new Xtar owners are SO late to the party, but welcome ;)
I've been loving/preaching my VP4 for a long time.
I'll point out my avatar again... heh

I still have my first charger - a Nitecore Intellicharger 4-bay, which I use at home, if needed, on the weekends, but I usually bring my drained cells to work where my VP4 lives. I got the VP4 as a backup at first, then found it more convenient to have one at home and one at work, then pretty much only used the VP4 at work.

Ya think?
Might could be ... :)

How was dinner? I marinated a flank steak in a chipotle & lime marinade (lots of other stuff, too), and did some grilled veggies to go along with. Turned out rather well. Strawberry shortcake for dessert - fresh berries, home made sweet biscuits, gobs of whipped cream. @Bronze - you were late, so DH ate yours

Quite frankly, ProVape is hedging their bets.

They went to 20W and .7ohm, then .5ohm.

They could have spec'd 30W and .5ohm to begin with or even more.

I don't know if they are entirely sanguine with 20W at this point.

The chip in the P3 is what? an ARM chip? Way overkill for what it is being asked to do, but it gives them the flexibility to go anywhere in the future.

But, I do not expect them to suddenly be throwing 40, 50, 100W, and .2 ohm builds out there just to do it.

I think they are waiting to see what is revealed by the science, as it is done, then they will either go up, or down, from there.

My avatar would be at 3.30V.

I just ran an experiment with my Subtank Mini with .5 OCC on my SX mini @ 26W.
The coil lasted ~50ml of a sweet 60VG juice before it was gunked.
3 days/50ml/$3 coil

That 50ml lasts me 5+ days on my P3

I've found that stronger wattage gives great flavor and/or vapor with the right topper.
I like flavor.
I'll continue to enjoy better economy & great flavor on my P3s @ 20W and get kicks from my SX
$18/month on coils is better than $30/month on coils IMO
I can't imagine cloud chasing with bought juice. Mine costs me less than a buck for 60ml

I get that building on an RDA is cheaper but I'm a lazy slob until I need to not be.
I have about a dozen OCC coils (so far) to rebuild if there's a vapeocalypse.
And RDAs and an R91 and...and...and...

Cloud chasing's fun...and expensive

Now to try out my new Arctic tank at 60W :headbang: <-54 year old headbanger
