On the history lesson --
I'm pretty sure Rob made the Woodvil before the metal Grand and was the first to commercially sell wood bottom feeders. I seem to recall Rob posting that he didn't invent the Bottom Feeder, but came up with his own version with the tube in the bottle and other tweaks. He was, undoubtedly, very early in the bottom feeding ventures, and very close to the first.
(and, of course, I can't find that post...grrr.)
Fonosmoak, on the other hand,
was the first to commercially sell hand made wooden mods in the U.S. (which were first sold through Nhaler). In the fall of 2010 Fono started selling the Phidias Feeder direct here at ECF (and through a few other distributors and locations).
The other "big" player around that time was the Journeyman and the lovely Ali'li, made by R & R Manufacturing. Monkey Box, Red Sky Mods, Southpaw, The Grip (and others) were also "famous" or "infamous" my first year or so of vaping as were the "gems" mentioned above.
Many of these models pre-date the ProVari!
These days I'm a very happy vaper with my Kabuki and ProVari set ups. Ti my favorite, of course.
