Sounded like a good ole fashioned lambasting to me. And I don't typically defend vendors (quite the opposite). Anyway, moving on. No harm no foul. It's in Provape's court.I wasn't trying to lambaste Provape at all

All my VS dna & rDNA's came with a LG HE2 18650 2500mAh 35A battery. I don't have a Flask but VS recommends for people to use Sony VTC series batteries in their New Vapor Flask Squonk.BTW, I use AW batteries. Always have and stayed with AW because Provape recommends them for their provaris. I had a gal ask me which battery to use for her Vapor Flask. I told her to check with the manufacturer. She did and it was a battery I would never have guessed.
The LG was the one that I had never heard of before. She found it somewhere...I forget where. And did Sony cut out their VTC series or was it just the VTC5?All my VS DNA & rDNA's came with a LG HE2 18650 2500mAh 35A battery. LG is one of the more popular batteries that other companies like to rewrap. The LG was the one that I had never heard of before. She found it somewhere...I forget where. And did Sony cut out their VTC series or was it just the VTC5?
I wasn't trying to lambaste Provape at all, part of the reason this thread is set up is so Provape can listen to what their customers have to say, good or bad.
Plus I was leaning more towards lambasting Efest.
Vape360 said they were already aware of my issues with Efest and that's a good start.
Pressure from companies like Provape on Efest can maybe get them to change their labeling to be more accurate on the true specs of their batteries.
I'm pretty sure the solder they use is American for God's sake...I've been around too long to know that manufacturers lie about their products and it isn't just batteries. Watch any advertisement of just about any product and you know they are fluffing their specs. I'm skeptical about all advertised specifications on all products. If I'm buying a battery for my provari I am going with Provape's recommendation and that's all I'm using the battery for. Should efest sell what they advertise? Absolutely! And it's good people hold their feet to the fire. But to lambaste Provape for this is out of bounds as far as I'm concerned and how I read your original post. What's next, holding Provape responsible for making sure the solder they use isn't made in a country that has no child labor laws? Provape tested the efest battery for their product and approved it. That's good enough for me. Anything beyond this and you enter the world of buyer beware....just like any other product.
That is how I feelFor someone who says they werent' trying to lambaste Provape, I'd have to say you most certainly did lambaste them. And to quote your initial post:
"I posted about this once already over in the Saloon but that wasn't enough to stress how I feel about this
Provape still selling Efest batteries just blows me away
For a company like Provape that puts safety first to sale a product from a company like Efest is a joke to me.
You might as well make the P3 200 watt and put a sticker on it saying "Good Luck""
I'm not sure how that could be interpreted in any other fashion.
Sorry
That is how I feelBut I'm not putting down a Provape product is what I meant.
In the vaping world mod specs and Battery specs are pretty important and shouldn't be overrated or inflated in anyway shape or form.
Didn't know that. Last I heard (some 6 - 8 months ago) was that no one could find the VTC5. So I assume that is not the case anymore.BTW;
Sony never discontinued the VTC battery.
Their factory was by Fukushima and was forced to be shut down due to the radiation.
They moved the factory to the Philippines which in the moving process stopped the production of the VTC battery just until the factory was up and running.
I did hear rumors of the factory in the Philippines was having quality control issues and Sony once again moved the factory but I can't find any press releases or anything on this.Didn't know that. I see they are using them in lawnmowers now.I did hear rumors of the factory in the Philippines was having quality control issues and Sony once again moved the factory but I can't find any press releases or anything on this.
And the only battery recalls I could find on Sony was 100,000 of their Laptop batteries were recalled.
These cells are used in so many things from Autos too laptops it's hard to separate which company or factory did what.
Yea I did the math to see what it would cost to buy one of these batteries and take out the 18650 cellsI see they are using them in lawnmowers now.
