I would say order the new end cap and the spring comes with it. I would love if they got rid of the spring altogether. I have to stretch mine out once in a while and I always pull that darn thing out. Then squish it back into the end cap, which then means I have to stretch the spring trying very hard not to pull the spring out of the cap....

and around and around and around I go ROFLMAO!

That's really cool, thanks for sharing. I know the specs say it is 8" long and you said it will hold 2 P3's. I'd like to know if it will hold a P3 with a tank on in the 18650 mode. Thank you.

That's how I roll. Ti P3 (18650 mode) & black P3 (18490) wearing Subtank minis, Subox with tank on, 18650 battery box with R25s in it & 2 30ml juice bottles.

SX Mini/Arctic tank never leaves my hand so the rest are backups or if I want a double nostril lung hit.

Take a small screwdriver (or similar) and put it across the hole and hold down firmly before pulling on the spring. This will pin the spring in the cap and keep you from yanking it out. With all that exercise you've been doing you're probably stronger than King Kong. I know I would think twice about smarting off to you.

Congrats on P3 :toast:
Here is a list of what has been added since Ver 31 Beta up to Ver 38. You can always just use it for a few days and see if you really need the updates
ProVari 3 Software Versions : ProVape Inc.

That was very helpful Chief..the firmware my Beta has is 34..which is not listed in the link you had..But it seems to me that apart from the bells and whistles (the back option, the ability to lower and increase the wattage/voltage from the same menu field...etc.), the substantial changes are: the increase in the amperage from 5 to 5.5 amperes, and lowering the resistance to 0.5 ohms.

Can't find the old one..... Sorry. :(
It is a smaller spring..you're right..the new one is wider and appears firmer..and hence they changed the bottom cap to accomodate a wider spring. What I did was double the spring with another spring that I had from the bottom cap of my 2.5. Don't know if that will work..but I am planning to order a bottom cap and a couple of spare springs (the manual suggests replacing the spring every 6 months or so)

That's definitely the smaller spring. The opening where the spring goes in is smaller than what I have now. My camera takes crappy photos or I would take a picture of mine. It is the larger one.

It's not gold, it's just the lighting. This is the new spring.

Yep..that's the one alright!...will place an order right away..Guess I don't really have to get the firmware upgraded..not really worth the hassle ..how long does your battery last you in 18650 mode?

You should be able to get through about 6 - 7mls of liquid on an 18650 at your power levels.

Almost 24 hours. That's if the threads are kept clean and the spring is stretched. That is also with the INR18650 2500mah batteries. Those are flat top and cannot be used with the regular ProVari. The 2200 IMR I can get about a day out of them.

I vape 3.6v with 1.51 coil. Boost is usually set at 1.
