I've got the GMZs and the Gold. Spectacular finishes. Yummy, in fact, and tho a TINY bit of fingerprints may occur, a swift and rare brush of a micro cloth, and bam, brand spanking new again.
That was my hope, thank you.
On a side note, just received notification that my GMZ P3 is out for delivery TODAY! Nice surprise!!

Thank goodness. Now maybe you can stop wishing the weekend goes by in a nano-second. You have all of the collective Provarinati's permission to slow things down now! OK? OK!

Posting here because this is one group I know is full of ideas!

Bought an Ataman II from a reliable member here, brand new. Unfortunately, when I got it I rinsed it and let it dry and then threw a build on it test it out. For some reason, the atomizer became fused with my 510 adapter and I can't get it off for the life of me!

I've tried freezing it, running through my ultrasonic cleaner with a soapy solution, and a pair of vise grips clamped on each piece. It will not budge. I may be left with trying to cut the connector off. I have destroyed the Provari 510 adapter and ordered another one (forgot to order the beauty ring though, damn!) so it doesn't matter what I do to that.

But, who would I even look for that could cut it off. I don't any tools like that, so what kind of business would I look for in my yellow pages?

And I tried to get spare parts from the manufacturer, they don't make them. So this baby is useless unless I can get this cut away.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Call it a crazy idea, but I think if you have one vice grip on the Provi Beauty Ring and the other on the 510 adapter.... I think you might actually have to "tighten" (turn them to the right) in order to "loosen" the atomizer above them/attached to them.

Does this seem reasonable? I think... I think when you're trying to loosen the beauty ring, you're only making the whole combo tighter and more stuck together.

I'm "pretty confident" in what I'm saying here. Haha. Seriously!

Give it a try as you've got nothing to lose. But you'll be battling all the previous work you put into fusing them together :) So you'll have to trust me and give it heck!

Tighten that beauty ring down on the 510 adapter! :)

I had a Subtank mini lock up like that. It took a padded vise for the attie and a pair of Channel lock pliers, big ones, to break the lock.

Do you have any friends that are handy with plumbing? You could also open a ticket with ProVape, and be very clear that you need that atomizer base intact.Submit a request for assistance
Good luck!

Provape might be the answer! Good suggestion Enaud. I think I'll open a ticket with them on Monday, attach the photos and see what they think.

@scotdc

My success was brute force to the ring only. Once it was off the rest was easy peasy.

For an earlier discussion on this issue start here and read 2 pages, which include ProVape's tips and tricks on the matter which if read and followed precisely, could be helpful. (Enaud's tip on the pitch might make sense to you and useful, too.)

Did you read this? The P3 510 connection is stuck to my tank!
They actually recommend screwing it back onto the mod and trying to screw the ring down from there. That was a no go in my case, and I decided to just muscle it off, it took a LOT of force to break the locknut free. I leave the chewed up ring on my precious Ti as a reminder...

Until Tearose mentioned it, I didn't know it was there so I just took a look. Pretty much tried everything there, and my 510 ring is destroyed so it won't screw back onto the mod.

To Provape it goes. I will have the chewed up atty as a reminder.

Bummer, sorry, couldn't like that post. Here's wishing you luck that they can save the atomizer base for you.

I had this issue with the Calix v1 base and P3 beauty ring. I sent it to Provape and they were able to remove it without any issues!
