Sorry. I wasn't keeping up properly. Happens late night for me!

My problem with the Radius pin was I would get an OP reading and would have to use a screwdriver to fiddle with the pin, I never had that output problem. That's an issue all right. It's so hard to send one back though and have to do without. Hopefully they'll be mercifully quick for you.
For me, it doesn't matter what size battery I was using or what atty is on it- I still get problem- output too high/low.
And it happens without having to remove/replace the atty. I can be sitting here vaping & everything is fine- 5 min later....problem.

The longest I've gone without this happening is maaaaaaybe 2 hrs & that may be stretching it.
I'm kinda wondering what is up with this. I've had many years of no problems with ProVari's, and no problems with the P3 since they were released, but during the past month I've had 4 f-----g P3's start emitting the "Output Voltage Too High" error (when there's nothing attached to them). 2 have already gone in and come back to me, and 2 more are about to go back.

Using all of them in 18350 mode. The first time it happened, I was paranoid and switched out the 18350 charger I was using and all the 18350 batteries. Made no difference, it's happening again, and using the same batteries and charger for another 4 Dicodes devices & 2 older ProVari minis, which have no problems. I don't really understand what's happening, do they all have a self-destruct timer set for March/April 2016?

FWIW not even running rebuildables on the ProVari's kicking out the error, just Kabuki tanks with standard 1.6Ω BVC coils.

And... they're wedged. Blah.

I was vaping last night using my P3 w/ a Samsung 25R that was purchased last June and maybe gets charged once a month, maybe twice. Battery gauge read 64%. Without warning, no low battery indicator, no red light, NOTHING, I took a draw and nothing. Battery gauge read empty. Charged it up and multi-meter read 4.24
spring was changed in January, threads get cleaned once a month No-lox is added to threads once a week along with contact pin being cleaned. Dunno.

My P3's are acting up lately as well. Nearly new 18650 and 18490 batteries are reading 87-91% when installed, not 100%. Also, they will go from just below 1/2 to flashing (low batt) VERY quickly. One of my Classics is going from almost full right to flashing or dead.

My original Radius did this and was sent back twice. Never was fixed so ProVape swapped it out for a Stealth.

I will keep watching them, but it is annoying and on 3 of my more expensive Provaris.

Now that you mention it, batteries initially read 89% Didn't think much of it before...

When you say contact pin, are you referring to the contact pin for your Atty to connect to, OR are you referring to the pin deep inside the tube the top of your battery touches? If you haven't also cleaned that, you should and you may well see a difference.

Well there's your problem. You should do it every Tuesday! ;)
Btw, while we're on the subject as a point of interest, when cleaning the inside contact pin of the V2's there was always a little bit of grime on the end of the cotton swab. With both my P3's and with Jackie's, there has NEVER been a hint of discoloration whatsoever. Same cleaning method with same frequency. 99% IPA once a week.

Anyone tried the High Performance End Cap (Procyon) on their P3? Does it really increase battery life?
I'm using the new Procyon end cap on my P3 but I cannot say it has improved battery life because I'm using all new ('490) batteries anyway.

UPDATE ~ After my posts about the output too high/low I was getting, I tried my last tank the OBS Crius. I hadn't thought of trying this one before cause it had already found it's home on the RX200.
I've been running this tank for the past few days & haven't gotten output too high/low.

I'm interested to pin down this problem of "output too high" on my P3 and Radius as well. I had that problem with my authentic Kayfun Lite right after I filled the tank, so I cleaned it and took it apart - everything looks normal. Put it back on and working like a champ.

Like to know what causes this problem.

Are the ohms of your coil higher than 2.1 and BOOST is on?

I hadn't thought about that. I put the tank with the 2.5Ω coil back on. It's the one I was getting the error code at 11 watts. The boost was set at 1. I took it down to 5 watts and still got the error  but when I turned the boost off I didn't get the error until I got to 13 watts. Error at 5 watts? I'm going to have to read the manual to find out how high the boost is.

ETA: Hmmm...the P3 manual states how long each boost setting lasts, but not the amount (or percentage of the wattage it's set at). However, it does say this:

Note that turning the ProVari up to max wattage and boosting up to 5 will not exceed the maximum output of the unit which is up to 20 watts.

I still don't get it. A 2.5Ω coil at 5 watts is ≈ 3.5 volts/1.96 amps. The boost must be pretty darn strong to push any of those figures passed the P3 limits. Unless...since the P3 has fired fine at 2.5Ω/11 watts with boost at 1 for months (I didn't notice the error symbol until yesterday), could the error just be indicating there was a potential problem? I don't know; I'm just trying to make sense of this.

It's strange, but I put a freshly charged battery in my P3 and it never reads full, it will only read about 85 percent on the first fire then it drops down into the 60's then it drops even more, but it does seem to have longevity before it runs out...no error messages or anything like that....

I'm not getting these battery issues that you all are plagued with. The lowest percentage I get from a freshly charged battery is 96% and that's rare, normally they read 99%. I use only AW button top batteries.
