I accept this title graciously. I even have a short acceptance speech:

Come together, right now, over brie.

Here come ol' Fresco
He come topped with Aged Chelsea
He got Bay Blue eyeball
He one Gorgonzola
He got Swiss down on Sage Derby
Goat to be Gouda lookin' cuz he's Lord of the Cheese

Come together, right now, over Brie.

I have a question...and I can't believe I'm asking this out loud...

Why does everyone keep mentioning that the P3 is 23mm? That isn't a new measurement...is it?

I mean, my v2.5 is 23mm...
And I know this, not because I have fancy measuring instruments, but because the Svoe of Mesto made the kayfun beauty ring to taper from 23mm (Provari) to 22mm (kayfun)...

This is why there are umpteen thousand trim rings for the ProVari.

It's changing, but slowly. Generally, if someone comes out with something other than 22mm, they end up designing something to go with it.

There are more and more toppers coming in 21 or 23, or even 30mm, lately.

I'm guessing we will see a bunch of 23mm stuff coming out for the P3 at some point.

This is more of a problem for the super hyper exclusive mod collectors than for anyone else.

Or as T0ny said: It's for the trolls.

Gotta love the trills :scowling:
I kind of dig the ring options, let's you add a touch flair and personality to it fairly inexpensively. A kfl with a ring is easily the most popular option and has worked for years and no ones complained. I know I haven't and most of my stock is kfls. Granted my personal favorite for flavor is the taifun and it being 23mil was just a happy coincidence. Still need a ring anyway though.

Yeah, I'm waayyy in the minority.

I like the drip well.

And the Kayfun ring for the Kayfun.
I've tried dripping out of my provari several times, it just doesn't satisfy me. I always go back to the mech or DNA for that.
The 2,5 really shines with the RTAs for me. I'm hoping the extra power makes the 3 a more viable dripper for me. If it doesn't Then I'll probably pass. Unless one of my prothingys gets into a fight with my lawnmower

OK people..I saw the beta version in person with our local distributor and of course I gave it a quick try. Of course it's a very well made piece (You can tell it's a Provari with your eyes closed..the heftiness, the weight, how it balances in your hand..simply beautiful) except for a few needed tweaks of which I witnessed one. The top cap is a bit tricky to use as the nut that ties your atty to the firing pin can easily get stuck to your atty. When I unscrewed my kayfun the nut came out with it. They are still testing it of course and I am sure they will come up with something.

The biggest challenge however IMO is the quality of vape. Simply put it's extremely difficult to improve what's already excellent. So for me there was nothing new when it comes to the quality of vape beyond what my 2.5 or my mini offer me. But again, to be honest I haven't tried it in full..meaning..I didn't get a chance to test the VW mode, which I prefer to the VV mode..and I wanted to have my first experience with the P3 to be what I think the Provari is made for: enjoying a decent vape. So I stayed at 4.2 volts, which is my sweet spot, and did not attempt to try it at 15 or 20 watts. I think I am psychologically conditioned to treat the Provari with respect!!!

But what does that mean for me? Will I buy it? I already have a Semovar, which also provides a great vape and can go up to 15 watts, and when I want to play I have my Stingray or the IPV 2 to play with. I will definitely consider getting a P3 if I have extra cash..but I will not actively seek it. Another rational option would be to sell my 2.5 and get it. Setting aside the fancy stuff, my first impression is that the difference between the 2.5 and the P3 when it comes to the bottom line (i.e. the vape quality) is not big enough to justify $250-$275 IMO. It is sufficient to justify selling my 2.5 and paying $100 - $120 on top to get a new toy. Of course I still haven't tried the VW mode, which IMO is better than the VV, so I may change my mind eventually.

So was everyone kind've expecting the P3 to be 22mm?

I just don't understand why people, including Provape, make a point of mentioning that the P3 is 23mm, if that's just the Provari standard...

You are correct, sir. Provape mentioned it because... well it's essentially a press release for a new product. And one of the things you release is it's measurements. They didn't exactly make a big deal about it or anything.
