No, Top cap is different. No grooves in outer drip well on V2.

And components mounted on the board are different. Black box is no longer in use on V2.5.

However it's hard to express online sometimes. Hence my infrequent visits to the Reo forum. They are nice folks, but lacking is sarcasm detection compared to the ProVarinati.

someone in the Provari Cult group on FB stated "The 2.5 upped the amp limitation to 3.5 amps as opposed to 2.5 amps on the v2.0"

No, The ProVari V1 had a 2.5 amp limit. The V2.0 has a 3.5 amp limit. If you have a V1, you can send it into ProVape for a chip upgrade. The only difference between the V2.0 and the V2.5 is the pattern of the body.*

The grooves are only on the models released later in the year. I only have one with a grooved cap - it was the last mini I bought. You may also notice that some 2.5s have a round battery contact and some have a rectangular one. I believe they are all rectangular now. There was also a change in the adhesives used to secure the 2.5 boards. That's why ProVape no longer recommends an alcohol bath. There may be other minute details, but I can't think of them right now.
