OK, first full day with my new satin black P3 (had to get the Provarinati cap as well) and really enjoying it, always liked that black and chrome (or SS in this case) look. I had some issues at first with my KF clone on it, didn't sit flush and was eating the center pin on the P3, fixed that by replacing the KF's pin.
I won't go over all the things I like about the P3, too many, but a special shout out to Boost!
Now, if I could change anything...
1. Make the screen cover flush with the body; that little lip drives my finger crazy for some reason.
2. I wouldn't mind seeing the Boost setting included in the screens that scroll when you hit A^/Av, for when you have the display turned off.
3. A 490 AND 650 tube included. Right now, in 650 mode, there's an extra set of threads that I just don't need.
4. Less overspray on the threads. I expect some (thought about silver but HAD to have black), but with 3x the threads in 650 mode (see #3) I expect to be cleaning it off for a while.
And my only gripe about the Provarinati cap... The only hole that vents is that tiny one in the middle. I got my P2.5 because of the safety features (and it's built like a tank). I got the P3 for the same reasons. I don't expect I'll ever see a catastrophic failure on my P3, but why make a special edition cap that's less safe than the standard one?
EOM, Going out back now, my P3 calls.
