Oh, King of Lube. We bow to thee.

WAIT! No. That could be misinterpreted.

Redux: YOU DA MAN!

Watch thy words, lest thy loyalty be questioned! He is not a king! However, if you wish to bow down to him that is your own business.

No I'm serious.
I have irritable bowel syndrome, so boom-boom time is practically an emergency for me! Better get outta my way!!!
And don't wait for me either! Cuz I'm in there for 30-45min at a time!

And that is one room my P3 never goes!
Same for all my vape gear...
Bathrooms are off limits!!!!

Sorry HBCorpseMan............If we ever meet, I promise to get out of your way if you have a time of need.

I am so over trying to figure out the IQ thing. As long as it turns on, gives power to the kfl+ and lets me vape....I'm happy :D

I believe the IQ rating diminishes every time you check it.
It is not reflecting the IQ of the device, but rather the User.

Define "Extended periods"?

Of course since you can run the battery down to the level it won't fire and read 0% battery it stands to reason the electronics are still running. But I too think that at some given point (for battery safety), the electronics should shut down as well simply to protect the battery from over-discharging.

The fact that this can happen is not a great thing in my book, as ProVape has advertized protection from over discharge for some time...

Will be interesting to see if this can be duplicated. It's certainly possible that the battery may have been on it's way out, which went unnoticed due to regular use. This would explain the apparent lack of over-discharge protection. The P3 may have shut itself down at a predetermined voltage, but the defective battery kept discharging on it's own.

I would surely think the engineers at Provape would have checked quiescent current draw on their design, as well as including over-discharge protection.

Thanks Ping! But I've already conceded in the best interests of the community. The important thing is that SOMEONE is in charge.

Besides, if I challenge the grantor I fear getting bopped with a Bobo. And that would NOT be good.

Hey......I'm a VERY generous guy. We can have more than one Sir XXX, Master of Lube. Yes, we can! I mean, what if I'm offline for a couple days and someone desperately needs to know how to store No-Ox. It would be dreadful if I didn't respond. So, I'm fine with sharing the title.

So you are offering him your hand in marriage? That is how one shares a title.

I just ran into a little issue with my P3 that surprised me. I was out of town for the last week and didn't take my P3 with me, I took another mod. I left with the P3 at about 60% battery remaining and left the battery in the P3. When I got back it was showing empty on the screen, so I removed it to put another freshly charged battery in. I was a bit surprised it had dropped that much with no use and was curious what the voltage level was so measured it with a volt meter. It was at 2.58v. Now that's not good, not good at all. That's draining to the point of battery degradation, which did happen. I charged it up and checked IQ and it had gone from 94 to 71, and since the fresh battery I had put in earlier was showing 86 IQ and was the same as the last time I used it I have to assume that the over discharge negatively affected the battery since the P3 seems to be showing a normal IQ on a know battery.

In retrospect, it is obvious my dumb-azz should have removed the battery and not left in in the P3 for an extended period without use. Fair enough, I'll just chalk it up to user error on my part. But I do think a mod that touts extreme battery protection and safety should have reached a voltage level that it should have shut down the system entirely. IMO, this would be worth Provape taking a look at and if it is possible think about addressing this in some way with a future update.

I do still have the original beta firmware on this P3, so maybe this has already been addresses by the latest revision. I didn't see this mentioned in any of the firmware changelog notes though so I'm not sure. It might not even be possible to initiate a shutdown programmatically, I have no idea. But I do think it would be a good addition if it could.

At the end of the day, no kittens were hurt, the P3 is fine, batteries are cheap, and I accept this as user error. So not a big deal, but since I experienced this I thought I would mention it.

That doesn't sound good at all. I keep batteries in a number of my devices since I rotate them frequently. That would mean the P3 is sitting here discharging when out of turn.
