I spy, with my little eye...a Vape360!!!
What do you think? Did I even come close to solving the "one turn" IQ increase?
People are reporting that their IQ scores rise notably, after unscrewing and then screwing in their battery cap...

Which means...ummm...?

Thumbs up. :) well said.

The IQ is a VERY sensitive measurement and little things like this can change it.

Soon :) We will post here when dealers get setup.

Happy Friday!

I was wondering how the device that will upgrade the Firmware on the P3 would work
Will it be something that screws on the 510 or the P3 thread, or something that goes in the battery tube?

PS: Please, for the love of vape, let the new Firmware drop the lowest ohm setting too .5 ohm. It would be nice to use a nautilus Atlantis on my P3.
There is just something not right about not being able to use a clearo on a ProVari :?:

Even if they lowered the resistance threshold to .5, that wouldn't allow any "wiggle room" for variances of the heads that are right at that resistance stock, or after the coil is warm and the resistance goes down slightly. And we all know how precise ProVape tends to be with those specs. Just saying...

Read back a couple of posts...I already supplied my royal knowledge on the subject...hahahaha

It can't be a bad battery as I have 10 of them and they are all of 3 months old. 4 from Provape, 4 from RTD, and 2 from Orbtronic's Shall I say screwing around with the end cap I change the IQ by simply using a quarter turn. There is no difference in the vape when reading poor or reading great. Back to the drawing board.

Then all we need to do is once a day unscrew the end cap a bit and retighten it. IQ problem solved. What's next on the agenda?

We go on for hundreds of posts about the IQ and other things we can no longer mention while other mod threads read like the obituary. We keep hitting the jackpot with our Provari's while the other mod threads are pulling up lemons, and they think Provari is over priced and under powered.

Ping,

Do not be led astray by the duke of earl...

It is really quite simple. Electricity follows the path of least resistance.

By turning the cap, you are cleaning oxidation that has built up. Think path of least resistance again.

Lubrication is just as important here as cleaning. Lubricate the entire diameter of each thread, and your issues will go away.

Here is a pic that most will understand... Electrical Corrosion!

Don't let this happen to your Provi!!!

The issue of erroneous battery readings is still present!!!! This is really starting to annoy me on why provape still doesn't have this fixed. I cannot understand how a battery reading goes from 90% to "empty" and then screwing out and screwing back in brings it back to 90%.

Yes it's a fresh battery with 89 IQ. Can't figure out why it's doing this, but it's similar to the 2.5 with the premature blinking lights. It just seems a lot worse in the P3. It's happened to me with every single battery I am using, and several of them are brand new batteries, both flat top and nipple tops!!

Anyone else experience this?

Are you saying there is something faulty with my device? This happens with the 2.5 and its a known issue. Surprised it's still happening with the p3. I understand the technical reason this occurs with the 2.5 as the battery voltage sag trips the "replace battery" indicator, but don't understand why this is occurring with a relatively fresh battery in the P3.

I'll email them and ask anyways just to clarify.

I just sent them a question. Jim - you likely recycle batteries appropriately and therefore don't get this issue. I'm probably cheap and don't throw my batteries away quickly enough. :)

As I said earlier, the 2.5 issue I understand because I was using AW batteries after quite a few charges and near the end of charge for the battery, voltage does sag causing tripping of the indicator, but this issue with the p3, esp with a VTC5, at 91%, has me confounded. Especially given I am not using that much power(3.4v with a 1.2 ohm coil). I'm sure there is an explanation and am curious. I really don't think the device is malfunctioning, but something is causing the p3 to think the remaining charge isn't sufficient to heat the coil at the power I am set at.

I'll paste whatever response I get as reference if it's helpful.

Out of sheer curiosity, can you post a picture of your bottom cap?

Are you trying to put HBCorpse out of a job?

I love your use of the word "obituary" /lol However, their is certainly one exception I can think of and not to worry...I'm not comparing it to my P3 which I recently discovered is a "chick magnet" /lol /hahaha

:)

I didn't mean all mods, there are quite a few excellent mods out there. I was talking more of the cheap clones and other probmatic mods you see in the threads.

I can't make a statement on others mods and other threads, as I only follow the P3 one, the Ti and P3 Ti request ones, the Kayfun one, and the ByLeo one; I can say, however, that I also have a Protovapor XPV 40 and its a very capable and awesome device. I haven't tried yet using the Ni200 wire coil to make use of the Temperature protection, but the vape and consistency is amazing.

I also own 3 ProVaris (2.5 Black Cerakote, 2.5 Mini Gun Metal, and 2.5 Dragon) and they are excellent devices also, but I have found I like higher wattage vaping (between 20 and 40, sometime a little bit higher by a lil bit.)

Having said that… I want a P3, but I'll wait for a while until more colors are available (Gun Metal) and also to have a lot of updates already, so I can buy the latest and greatest without the need to pay for updates and having to go somewhere to update it (if I even can… as I'm in Mexico.)
