There's another point about Provari vs Non. It's cost. The price of a Provari, which as we all know is a regulated mod, is more expensive than most of the competition. People like to say they don't need to spend as much money to have a good device and their $49 mod is as good if not better than a Provari, so they make that point over and over again to make themselves feel better. Of course we know they're wrong! :D

Hell no, they are all similarly priced. Considering that the likes of Vamo, Zmax, MVP, Lavatube etc are not the competition. They never were. It is the Wizard's Apprentice Evolved, Dicodes Dani, Pipeline Pro, Semovar, Elevator etc. which are in the same league with the P'vari.

Ps.: I left box mods intentionally out.

I was referring more to less expensive devices, like Innokin, Smoktech, Zigelli and I guess I'd have to include mechanicals that can be had for $20.

Oh, these all are again not the competition.

Btw, no mechanicals can be had for $20. Everything is above at least $150. I hope you are not referring to counterfeits in a top notch genuine product's page ;)

Question for Vape360, or anyone who knows with absolute certainty...

Is the "satin silver" bare metal with some sort of textured finish (bead blasted maybe?), or does it have a coating?

Reason I ask is I'd consider a satin silver over my usual black, as the black coating wears off over time.

Thanks.

The satin silver is textured. I'm almost certain it is bead blasting. It's not an extra coating for sure.

It does, but that's when it starts looking best, as a testament to craftsmanship and durability :2c:

I have a not-counterfeit mech sitting in a drawer right now that costed me about $4 and gas to home depot to make. :p

I have a $25, perfectly functioning regulated mod (actually two) ~ the iTaste VV V3 ~ which meets my needs too! But hey, here we are talking about comparative devices, not 'the' devices.

Thus, when we are onto P'vari and discuss mechanicals ~ we need to talk about Paps-Lux, Gus-Knight, Point Touch (semi), Stingray-X and the likes. P'vari is the pioneering, benchmarking regulated mod ~ as such we definitely cannot bring up just 'any' mechanical alongside that discussion.

In PBusardo's ProVape Tour video they spend some time filming the process of making a satin ProVari. It is certainly media blasted by hand. Most of the blemished satin ProVari's are over or under blasted, leaving them with a finish that is slightly off the "norm."

Edit: For some reason I visualize Chef Gordon Ramsey holding a satin ProVari and screaming, "It's RAW!!"
