Hmmmm...this could make the Springer show...no?

Filmed each day in, you guessed it, STAMFORD, CT! (sigh)

The hotel that my office used to be in housed the "participants." Let's just say that there were some pretty interesting things to see, almost on a daily basis.

Classy, not quite.

I had a pair of tickets to a Chicago Cubs game that I bought several months prior...before I even knew this girl existed. Well, game day was coming up and I was in a pickle. Do I go on a date with this tall, gorgeous Scandinavian specimen with the blonde hair and big smile or do I go to the ballgame? At 26 years old my hormones spoke for me and I went on the date. Turns out, Pete Rose got a hit in that game that tied him for the all time hits lead in baseball (matching Ty Cobb's decades-old record). So I have two pristine, untorn, untampered game tickets to the game that Pete Rose made history sitting in my drawer in a seal tight cover. September 8, 1985. I wonder what they are worth? I mean, how many full, untampered tickets of that game are there? Can't be many...if any. But I know I enjoyed myself more than anyone at the game. :D

Her name was Charlotte, pronounced Shar-lot-a.

No brainer. Baseball games are aired all summer long, each and every year.

And to answer you curiosity, "A lot."

Hey folks. I love my P3, but the battery issues are really starting to wear on me. I just took out a battery it said was empty and it reads 4V on the charger. Contacts have been recently swabbed with iso, but it didn't completely solve the issue. The batteries I'm using are Sony VTC4/5's, and I can run them in an SX Mini all day at 16W. They're not fresh out of the package, but they work fine in other mods. Is there a good reference for debugging these issues, or is this just part and parcel to the P3 experience?

Hi Scratchtheweasel,

Contact our group in Customer Service and we can have you try a few things to resolve this. If you visit our website, there is a green bubble in the lower right side of the screen, that will get a ticket in to us and we can help troubleshoot the problem.

True. But I stand by my assessment that your choice was the better option. I watched that game. It wasn't that great.

I thought it was the better choice too. I mean, how often does a fella have the chance to go out with a tall blonde with a big smile and a Scandinavian accent speaking broken English knowing she was on a one year visa so commitments were not an issue? How much better could it get for a 26 year old? Seriously?

I called Pete Rose. He agrees too. [emoji3]

Now THAT is funny.

I have the bigger one too. I bought them for Bobo.

I didn't like the atty (I can't remember why), so I cannibalized an Aspire BCC. It works brilliantly.

I'm back with another question. Hope I'm not dropping these in the wrong place.

I verified my sw is at ver 36, and my spring is the upgraded version. Provape did these upgrades for me when I sent my beta unit in. I ordered the no-ox and I suspect this will help because the threads are really gunked up. I also ordered some new AW bats to be sure my older Sony's were not at fault. I will be doing a cleaning/lube and will let y'all know if that works.

Question is - should I be applying something like deoxit to the spring or positive contact after I clean the unit?

EDIT: I did a first pass cleaning of the threads. Wow they were dirty. Turned a toothbrush black. They look pretty clean now, and the IQ improved from 49 to 69. Will have another go at this when the no-ox and fresh bats arrive.

I do.. Kinda, sorta...

I put a very very very small smear of lube to my pos and neg battery posts.

Slippery, Jim

I'm not sure lube on the posts will do anything, although I could be wrong. We are talking about the ends of the battery, right? I rub mine hard with a paper towel (or on my jeans when I'm lazy).
