So I was running a 1.6 ohm at 10 watts and a boost of 3. No warning.

I change to a 2.3 ohm and same 10 watts and boost of three. The warning tells me to lower the wattage or change the atomizer. I lower it down to 5 or so... same warning.... it is not till I turn the boost off that the warning goes away. Tried boost of 1 at 10 watts..... same error.

Can someone explain that to me, I don't get it?

I am having the same problem pulling the trigger with another mod manufacturer who is now offering a Ti edition mod... I was the one who asked him to produce it and now I am having second thoughts....? Precise ELA V2 - Titanium $499.00, so at that price its a hard pill to swallow.... :glug:

Saw that. Ran away before I bought it.

Glad to hear TI is a PITA.

I will never be tempted again.

Maybe.

I'm still tempted, but feel comfortable passing it up now. I'd rather not deal with having to constantly make sure my 510 connection is spotless. I'm the type to obsess about something like that.

Well VTC5's seem hard to find and easily counterfeited that I am afraid to buy the from ebay (especially since they are going for 20 bucks each and I can't confirm they are real). Are people counterfeiting the Panasonic ones as well? They seem to be cheaper and easier to come by. Is anyone using Panasonics in the P3. What model number if you are?

Just look up how to spot a fake VTC5 and carefully examine the eBay pictures. If you are sent a counterfeit (it's not real difficult to tell) eBay buyer protection will make sure you get your money back or whatever. I ordered a pair of VTC5's off eBay and they're doing just fine at .32 on my Reo.

The counterfeit VTC5's were tested to see how they compare and they aren't bad. I think it's a 20 amp continuous. This is under the assumption that all the counterfeits are the same though.

The top cap, beauty ring, and 510 connection are stainless steel. It's the body of the unit that is Ti.

I have a bracelet made out of titanium. I've not taken it off in seven years, wear it working in the garage, etc - I destroy watches (cheap or good) easily, but this bracelet looks brand new -- what do I know? I've seen titanium rings with scratches, but never this bracelet. Dunno what to think, but I am so very happy with it.

Titanium is a wonderfully light metal, but it's not scratch resistant at all. It scratches as easily if not more so than stainless steel.

I had already decided to forego this "investment", as it would be truly frivolous, but this makes it a BIT easier. I will continue to lust for it, of course, but I can deal with that. I'm well trained. ;-)

I don't know if I helped you or bust your bubble??!! There is a metal that is virtually scratch proof, called Tungsten Carbide. It's about 4 times the weight of stainless steel however, and if dropped, can shatter. There are other ways to make steel harder, often referred to as "hardened steel," but they usually have a mat finish as they are not easily (or cost effectively) polished.

Nothing to be concerned with - just a slight "validation" for my decision (rationalization, maybe?). I've had great luck with my stainless mods and like it a lot. I thought it'd be cool to have a titanium one, particularly with the flat top, but as I glance over at my (relatively small) collection I realize that's just plain silly.

So I'll watch all this stuff but continue to vape happily on what already resides in the home. But I hope they sell a ton of them, just to give another swat to the "Provape missed the boat!" crowd. It is, after all, the little thing in life... ;-)

Does anyone know how the extension ring works on the TI? Can you use two on a mini to use all the way up to 18650? I'm a bit confused as the other ProVari's call the extension an extension end cap and the TI has an extension ring.

Hello,

The rings are similar to the extended end cap but add-on rings like the P3. Each ring gets you to the next battery size and you use the same standard end cap with the ring instead of the ext end cap having it's own spring. You can add multiple rings, just make sure you don't stack batteries :)

The way the cart is setup, you can only add one ring per devcice but if you want to get two, you can place your order and contact our customer service team and they can add another one for you.

As for the TI, it took a long time to produce a small quantity. Not only do they machine very slow, but we also had to install special fire suppressant equipment on our machines in order to make them. TI is very flammable when machining, didn't want to have a meltdown.

Titanium is expensive material but compared to the SS is pretty damn cool. For those who didn't like the weight of the SS, the TI is

Ti makes our devices featherlite indeed :)

And mine's are many months of use ~ yet remain scratchless!

If P3 wasn't in the pipeline I'd have grabbed this v2.5 Ti without batting an eyelid ;)

Why was the decision made to make the Ti 2.5's? Why not Ti V3's? It just seems like a missed opportunity, and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it.

I for one, would happily go to the bank and get a loan to cover the purchase of a V3 Ti, but I can't justify doing so for the older model. :(

Missed oppurtunity? I doubt it. The P3 isn't even out yet. I will bet anything that a Ti P3 will be seen in the future.
