Let's also add a 26650 battery too.

OMG....The P3 isn't even on store shelves and you're already channelling the P4. Let me enjoy the glow of my yet to be vaped P3 before I have to start putting money aside for the next generation!

I would want that update, O'ya. But would want it automatically done like it's with our internet devices. I would not want to drive down to the nearest Apple Store (aka P'vari dealer) or ship it to them for the act. And pay for it too! -No, nada, it should be a 'free feature' (there was a mention of a 'fee' for it right? If not, my bad). And it should be as easily done as possible, just connect the P3 to your notebook, hit the Provape site, download the files and voila!

I'm thus fully with Snapdragon on this front!

Now that's along the lines of what I was thinking myself also… now I know I can buy my ProVaris down here, as there are 2 dealers, BUT I don't know how is that even possible to to ecig bans and "regulations" here, and while it's not a 2 hour drive, it's not easily accessible, it would most likely require a scheduled appointment, or do a shady undercover operation of sorts… so I'd love to have the ability to buy an "updater" myself and do the update at home, and why not to friends with P3s as well.

Also, I don't think I should pay for any update, doesn't matter how great of a new feature, or how many lines of code it took, in today standards I expect to get them because I bought the hardware, and if the hardware can't handle it anymore at all… get a new device.

A store in Australia says its selling the p3. Does say 2-3 weeks shipping time after order placed and doesn't say its a beta.
Wondering if its official as haven't seen them for sale anywhere else.
Wanting $289 for silver model around $250 usa.

Another store says they will ship from the USA on 7th November.

Oh, they will... that's a given. There's only so much you can do in software. Maybe they will come out with a 30W (or more) P4, and maybe the P3's internals can't handle that much current safely. So, let's take a few guesses as to what the P4 will offer (before the P3 is even released, lol).

1) Higher wattage/amperage.
2) RGB OLED screen - multi-colored menus, or user-set solid color of choice.
3) Screen auto-rotates (like your phone) depending on how you hold it - no more menu selection.
4) Voice recognition - "P4, increase wattage to 30W"; "P4, change LED color to green"...
5) Bluetooth/wifi - transmit stats to an iPhone/Android app (if you hate that, don't use it)
6) Coil temperature reading/limiting - with all the new research on coil/juice temps, this is a prime target for the #1 safety-minded vape company.
X) Variable Amperage - my battery can handle X, and I want to send the most possible power to the dripper atty regardless of volts/watts. Or, I have a cheap-... battery because I'm in Podunk and they only sell ICR's and this is an emergency so I want to limit the current draw. Oh, wait, that can be done today, scratch that one...
Y) P4 thread. No, that would be silly.
Z) Alarm clock. Time to vape!

AA) TV remote.
BB) Music player (choose only one option, another reason to buy more than one)
CC) Cell Phone

This might have been posted already but I didn't see it. Is there going to be any differences between the beta unit and the final unit? The reason I ask is I have a change to buy a beta unit and wondered what the differences might be".

Just go back a couple pages and you'll see a post from Provape lusting the changes from Beta to production units.

I found a store in my area that will order the P3 for $279.99 for the regular model...yeah I will hold off till Provari starts selling them online. I know the stores are getting a suggested resale price but in the beginning most will try to gouge people because it is a new product. This is why it needs to be available asap on the website. More people will order it that way.

My dealer isn't going to mark mine up anything over suggested retail. If you want one either buy it from another dealer or tell your dealer you're not going to pay them a premium.

At the time of release, the Beta models can be sent in for software updates, at which point the diamond shapes engraved on the sides would be the only difference...
This, I'm assuming, would not affect the more "valuable or rare" status of the Beta units.
I personally like the diamond shapes engraved on the sides, so I'd say go for it. I mean, after all, they only made a certain number of those...

Most of the Dallas area "dealers" want $100 over what you can order a Provari directly from ProVape. Insanity. And if that's the case with the P3, they can keep them, and I'll wait till the hit the website.

Just got a reply to my inquiry about the availability of the P3 from dfwvapor.com today...

"They should be here sometime this week. The silver will be 249.99."

Good to know, they were probably one of the ones that said they didn't have any. So if that's the case, I'll give em my business. Just wish they were closer to me, I'm all the way over in Sachse.
