@qorax - Subohm isn't necessary - there's a point of diminishing returns where More != Better and you can get there with the P3...
but there must be something wrong with your set up... look at all the vapor I have on the P3!!!!! Mine goes to 11!!!!!..

Oh, it is simple ~ you are a better rebuilder than me Sir!

For those of you that are on a quest to build the biggest, badest multi-coil sub-ohm setup- because it's what you want to do, it's ok to leave the room.

For everyone else, I have to disagree with the guys saying you can't/shouldn't put a dripper on the P3.
Here my very real experience. running two drippers (TugBoat and a Xpure on a P3 with the 3.5 software) -- I've been running them since Saturday afternoon....

With the builds I have now, both work great - You just have to understand/live within the limits... True if your interested in running a dual 24Ga coil this is not the device for you ... but, as long as your builds live within 6V, 20W and 5.5A (that's a 30% increase in power over the 2.5), there's a lot of space for very healthy cloud production - BTW, from what I can tell, this is in the sweet spot for most flavors..... Again, I'm not suggesting that the P3 is the penultimate cloud chaser but it's no slouch and plenty capable of running a dripper. It's still my choice if I had to have one device or was out and about and wanted to only take 1 device with me - and it's got plenty of headroom for most of today's toppers ..., BTW: My wife just booted me from the kitchen for fogging her out, and forever banned the P3/Tugboat setup from the dinner table.

IMO, this is the next evolutionary step for the Provari and it's worthy of bearing the name.... I'm enjoying mine...

Just realized, now I need to update my sig....
Wow
Within the Limits.
250.00 for a "temp control " that's not really temp control, 5.5 Amps, 20w , a board that would have been Great in 2012 And i should build "within the limits" or 200 for a device that's In the now and is just as safe with very few limits 16amp and 40watts?
Hmmmm this is difficult.
It's not a cloud thing for some of us, I don't care if I make clouds. I don't want apple-esque limits. If the device can handle "X" and I'm paying for it, I should get "X" when I want it.
Not trying to argue trying to make a point. My brain hurts. how a company that prides itself on aerospace technology put out a product that would have been changed vaping two years ago instead it's like a repackaged evic supreme. the P2.5 was vape changing , for Its time what happened? I have two of them so I'm not in here as a hater I'm in here as a once loyal customer that hates watching provape go the way of the blackberry. They could have very easily, with a few lines of code, made this device what It should be and garnered many more buyers and not had several of us who own the 2.5 face palm ourselves and go get a new device that we CAN ACTUALLY ORDER and VAPE THE WAY (THE USER) WANTS TO.
then again Gerber doesn't make food for adults. - for the record this non-cloud chasing vaper is not suggesting an insane 10000 Watt device but rather SOMETHING COMPETITIVE WITH EVOLV AT LEAST. Shoot even the 30w with 10 amp limit from last year edge on the competition geeze.
again I've never been one to come down on what someone wants to spend their money on, no one is forcing me to buy this, therefore I won't. But when I know SEVERAL people who are now FORMER provape loyalists, solely because of the failure of this device to deliver what we expected, one can't help but wonder.

How do you like the Sophia atomizer?

I had read somewhere, that ByLeo is synonymous with FLAVOR...and I now know that to be true.
I know this is the P3 thread, so I'll keep it close to topic, by saying that I can't imagine a better setup for this style atomizer...
Not only do I feel that the Sophia/Cage looks absolutely stellar on the P3, but the capabilities of the P3 are perfect for using this type of tanked atty.
I bought some of Stormy's ready-made wires, as the Sophia requires a coil that has non-resistant wire legs at each end...I got the 2.2ohm, because I like being able to ramp up my voltage/wattage, and I don't like draining my battery with low ohm coils. I know I can just run the P3 at a lower voltage/wattage, but where's the fun in that?
"Yeah I'm vaping 1.1 ohms at 3.4 volts..." I might as well have it on an eGo...
Anywho...the Sophia, once set up properly, is an absolute flavor machine. I started off with a juice that I know very well, to see if I could notice any difference...I installed her on my P3, filled the tank, cracked open the juice control (you read that right. Sophia has juice control), and WOW. I felt like I was tasting this juice for the first time. Now, I did the responsible thing, by having my P3 dialed down low, and gradually working it up in increments of 0.2 volts...after about 8 hits per level...and once I reached the top floor of 4.2 volts (I didn't wanna cook my 2.2 ohm coil too fast!), I was in vapor heaven. Plenty of vapor (for me), and the flavor was unbelievable. I own a mech mod, and several Kayfuns, plus two v2.5 Minis...and this was the best I'd vaped in a long while!
All of this is enhanced by the beauty of the P3, holding up the gorgeous Sophia/Cage...
And wow. I totally didn't mean to write a whole review! Hahahaha!!! But hey, for anyone who is going to buy a P3, I'll tell you that this would be a great option for you! Unless you don't like this type of tanked atty...then leave it on the shelf for me to buy!

I tell it like it is
ive never sugar coated anything.
In fact to me that is sugarcoated.
I've been not saying much at all on ecf as of late; but I've been reading this.
Looking at It on paper the numbers and what's delivered for the price just don't make any sense. Then to see "build within it's limits" OMG it all hit me. For less money my DNA delivers twice the ability. Why should i need a really expensive mod that I have to work within it's limits and a less expensive mod so that I can vape the way I want?
When a simple couple of lines of code would let me vape the way I want with the peanutbutter mod.
I love the fact that my DNA mods are just as safe, but I don't have to worry about limits and building My Toppers the "provape" way.

Better yet I'll get one when the jailbreak comes out and I can reprogram it myself. I can use the battery monitoring software to let me up the amperage and wattage available based on what battery is in it. **hint hint

You don't know that they WON'T eventually update the P3 to be what YOU want. The last time I checked, Provape is one of the biggest names in the industry, and they do what they do for a reason. ALWAYS.
I'm not going fanboy-ballistic here, because I'm not a fanboy. I'm just a fan of what works.
Anywho...if it wasn't for Provape, a lot of vape gear wouldn't exist, or wouldn't have been invented YET. Sure, same goes for Evolv, and a small handful of others...but we are talking about the legitimate players here...and Provape is one of the biggest.
Who says they aren't testing all these higher amp limits, and wattage limits, and all these other things? Who's to say they aren't releasing the P3, as it is now, because they didn't want to hold out any longer?
You seem to have forgotten one of the biggest elements of the P3...IT'S UPDATE FRIENDLY! And I'm sure it can be done "very easily, with a few lines of code"...how many other devices can have their chips updated? None that I can think of...not with Provape quality of build.
Honestly, I'm not here to attack anyone. I just don't like seeing people come to a thread like this, and poo all over something they've never even held in their hands, blinded by "out of the box" specs, forgetting that this device can be changed...it's almost future-proof.
As it's been said a million times before, "If you don't like it, don't but it"...but there's no need to come here and explain yourself to those that WILL buy it. Especially when you say you're a Provari owner, and a "former Provape loyalist"...so what? If you're choosing to stop supporting a company, as they release their most capable device ever (accounting for future updates), then that's your business. And it's best kept to yourself, as it literally has no bearing on this conversation...especially in a thread that was created just to announce, and give news on, the P3. I'm not saying Provape is the only company to do so, but it is awfully nice of them to even have an ECF presence, and personally give us news and answer our questions.

Edit: The P3 has never been listed with "temp control"...it has temp MONITORING, which turns off the device if it detects a high temperature condition. Not sure I've heard of a device that can do this...

Those are my thoughts. I already have a 2.5 and its an awesome kayfun driver. I don't have a high powered mod, no mechanical, no DNA or anything like that. If I bought a P3, I'd still have to spend money on a DNA if I want to do some higher powered dual coil builds. Why buy two when a single DNA40 does everything a P3 does, plus temp monitoring? It just seems impossible to rationalize from my perspective. I'd have to have money coming out of my ears to justify it. If I didn't have a 2.5, I'd get a P3 right away. I'm not one of these guys that need to have 10 provaris, 6 DNA mods and 12 mechanicals. 1 provari and 1 high powered mod is all I need.
Also, buying a P3 on the gamble that they might someday update it to be more powerful is ludicrous. Who thinks like that?

Struggling to organize the thoughts here....
Buy it and hope theY update it?... that's smart.
Blackberry was once the biggest company for mobile communication devices. Have you seen what's happened to them?
Did you also see where I expressed concern for the companies direction ?
Have you ever tried to contact them?
Have you noticed the hint that was spelled out?
Did you know this was a public forum?
Have you considered that Maybe.... just Maybe... this public forum could be used to express ones feelings about a product. Or possibly offer easy, low cost solutions for the mfg of a product that might just earn them more money? or i dont know maybe since they don't actually SPEAK to their customers; yet, they read ecf (first hand experience) maybe by being the voice of reason for some of the turned off customers they may actually make it a DESIRABLE PRODUCT FOR MORE PEOPLE.
I didnt say anything that was untrue. Nor did i BASH provape. I compared the products abilities to other products in its price bracket and pointed out the shortcomings of the P3.
I HAVE THAT RIGHT. i also said if its what someone wants to buy so be it. Did I call you or anyone a fanboy? Did I even reference the term fanboy?
Is it Ok to express what someone who buys Mods thinks and blessed they make their comparison. Shopping?
You may not like my response and for that im sorry that your feelings are hurt. But if provape doesnt know there is a demand for something and they are turning off customers then they wont change anything.
"Most capable device ever"??? The entire point of my post.....

That's my point!!!!
Here's my money..... waiting for update to load....................
Or here's my money ... oh look a device that can drive anything I feel like putting on it and still has the safety on board... not a difficult decision. and I only need To have one device with me.

"Most capable device ever"??? The entire point of my post.....

First of all, my feelings are none business of yours. And even if a conversation like this were capable of "hurting my feelings", I certainly wouldn't cry about it over the internet.
If I could even make sense of the majority of what you wrote, I'd still choose not to argue, as I've already made my opinion clear that this is not the thread for this discussion.
I never said you didn't have any right to express your feelings, or opinions, and I didn't say this isn't a public forum. I simply stated my opinion that this isn't the thread for that. Because that's what this is. ONE THREAD on a giant FORUM. There are plenty of other threads for debating how you feel. This THREAD was started by Provape, to announce and give news on the P3. Not to debate why it does or doesn't do certain things, or explain why you don't want one.

I'm sorry you've had the experience you've had with Provape, but you certainly cannot speak for everyone. I've contacted Provape numerous times, both here, and through their website...I've always gotten a friendly, prompt, and informative response...

I'm also sorry that the P3 doesn't offer you what you want. Luckily, there is a whole vaping industry out there, eager to earn your money. Maybe someone else can satisfy your needs.
It is my OPINION that owning a P3 "in hopes of an update" is not "a gamble"...
As you said you've been reading this THREAD, you may have noticed that Vape360 (Provape themselves) has already announced some fairly substantial updates to the production model software, before they're even being released. Those updates are based on customer demand. That customer demand comes from not only the ECF, but also from the real world Beta testing...when was the last time you heard of a company caring enough to offer a Beta test to it's retailers/customers? If that doesn't show you that they care what you think, I don't know what does.
Provape is the safest company in the industry, and nobody can say anything to make them change their ways. And that's a good thing. They're doing something that no other vape company does. They are making 150% sure that their product will not only perform, stand the test of time, and keep people off cigarettes, but that they will be absolutely safe while doing so.
Compared to Provape safety standards, every other mod maker (with these higher limits you crave) could just be getting lucky with their specs.
I'm sure Provape is on its way to these higher device output limits, but they're taking it slow, and making absolutely sure that their device is safe while doing so.
I know there are millions of people using +20 Watt/+15 Amp devices out there...and that's fine! But, having seen their process, and knowing their track record, I would rather wait for Provape to make a device that does those things...because then I will know that it is unfailingly safe to use...and that's what it comes down to.
TRUST.
Maybe Provape isn't banging out the high watt/amp levels...but what they do produce is a device that is SAFE.
And when they feel that they can make a device with those higher limits, and do it as safely as they have with all their other devices, I'll gladly get in line to buy one.
