My battery level just read 44% & my IQ was 54.
I unscrewed all the tubes and cap as I was in 18650 mode.
It now reads 64% battery and 84 IQ!
Seems a little sensitive to me.

I discovered that sometimes after swapping batteries, my IQ would be low and simply rescrewing the tubes and end cap raised it.

When I analyzed what I was doing, it became clear. If I was pushing as I screwed the tube or cap on, it would tighten but then would loosen up VERY slightly when the clearance in the threads allowed it to after I stopped pushing. If I PULL while screwing it on, it can't do this--it's at the tight side of the thread tolerances. Yes, it is sensitive to that.

Now you see why I find myself double click from time to time, just to look for that battery arrow indicator.

I would beg to differ, the unit does have a low power indicator. (In the form of a downward pointing arrow on the display).

The downward pointing arrow only appears when the battery has less than 1% of its charge left to offer.

Since I retired the eVic after getting the P3, it's still my only regulated PV. I can tell when my mechs get to about 50% and swap batteries then. I've also developed the habit of swapping batteries any time I refill juice. I've carried both habits over to the P3, although I have run the batteries to empty a few times for academic purposes, and probably will do that with 18350s. I do watch the battery and ohms indicator on the PV as I vape.

The extension rings and larger battery will, of course, add more resistance to the circuit of the device...
So seeing a difference between 18650 and smaller modes is to be expected.
Also, as Provari owners know, taking the battery out and then putting it back in, will always give you a little more vape time or "battery life"...this has carried over in the P3, the only difference being we have a new/different way to view it.
Seeing as IQ stands for INPUT QUALITY, the IQ score will change based on the quality of the battery and the charge it has to offer...so to take a battery out at one score, and put it back in to find another score, is normal. So is NOT seeing a change.

I changed an atty once and lost a significant amount of IQ. I did no more than clean the atty threads w/99% alcohol and gained 20 points IQ as soon as I re-installed it. The threads were black and grungy and the device it was previously on was not vaping properly, but did not have the IQ feature to signal a problem.
Point being, could the change in IQ level also affect the battery gauge? Less connectivity, less battery duration.

This is a useful data point. Thanks! From what I've read from ProVape, Input Quality doesn't reflect output such as the atty connection. It's good to know your experience with this.

Nico is right.
The atomizer's connection has nothing to do with the IQ score, as I just stated...
But it IS good to hear your experience...after all, this device is still fairly new, and people are going to discover (or rediscover) quirks and tricks!

The blinking light on my V2's & V2.5's annoyed me, but they did make me change my batteries in sufficient time to keep vaping.
The P3 battery gauge is virtually worthless to me, as I rarely look at it. The light blinking after the battery is dead is also useless as by then I already know because I don't get any vape.
I don't really care, because I just change batteries, but I can see everyone's point to whom it does matter.

I haven't come across a battery meter that was worth a crap. I vape, when it quits vaping I stick another battery in it.

It really is no more different than the V2.5 battery meter...

It did not tell me how many poofs I had to go either.

Lets agree, That battery monitoring technology in a portable device such as a Personal Vaporizer does not exist yet.

I would agree. It's a ballpark figure but my intuition tells me pretty much what the meter says. "Hmmm, been vapin' awhile. I suspect it wont be long and my batt will peter out."
