It only took two hours, but I broke the code for my owner's key ! Actually, Windows had stepped up my Security Settings to where I couldn't download anything. From any source. Nata.
When I get home later today I'll have all weekend to try some more ! Maybe if I try hard enough I can figure out the settings by January 1st !
(I hope I can find the techno a challenged setting)

We will help you. :) I'm not a youngin', but I figured it out without using the key. This may be due to me having used ProVaris for so long, so it's not that much of a stretch, and knowing that most of the manual is unimportant. All you need to be able to do is turn the thing on, adjust the power up or down (according to taste), maybe check the ohms of an atty (if you don't already know - hellooooo, you bought them) and check the battery level before you go out (which is silly, since as a pofessional vaper you will always bring back-up batteries anyway).

Not really an issue, but something I noticed. I have a Kayfun 3.1 (the only thing I have used so far) on my P3 with a 1.3Ω coil. I have it set to 15w. It fires at 4.3v. Boost is set to 2. The batteries I am using (new AW and VTC4 are new). I do not check my IQ, nor do I have No-ox stored in a baggie or any other approved vessel.

Anyways, I tend to chain vape. I noticed that after vaping for a few minutes, the P3 fires at a higher voltage. 4.8v or so. I'm assuming that this is either a function of the coil being heated or of the Boost function. But since it's firing higher, then my wattage is not being maintained.

Anyone else experience this, or have a better explanation?

1) Want to try VW, 2) been doing coils with DMM sometime now, 3) Career Truckers carry 3 extra batteries in a handy travel case.
I just hope the computer chip inside isn't too much for a mech user

The regulation merely allows the mod to fire at the same wattage throughout the life of the battery, without the battery sag of a mech over time.

If you want to switch to VW, click 4 times to get to the menu, then click A up or A down. As soon as wattage is shown, click and adjust your wattage. You'll be in VW mode then.

I haven't read the next posts, so this may have been covered. I too was using Noalox, until I was advised that it is designed to work on aluminum, not ss. I now only use it on Reos.

Understood, TO. And I promise to update everyone the moment I have an issue with it.

And then once I tune in the wattage applied that I want, the P3 will maintain that wattage until I change it ? Of will I have to manually reset whenever the battery is changed ?

I don't know what DMM is, but I doubt I would remember anyway. I don't like the display lighting up every time I fire the P3, so I shut it off. I currently have it in voltage mode, but wattage mode is exactly the same, one just shows up before the other in the menu.

Oops! I lied, it's in wattage now. Anyway (remember, I have the main display off):

4 clicks and says the current wattage, with options scrolling along the top. It would be the same if in voltage mode.
If I click A or A ( it doesn't matter which) it will go to another screen:

If I don't click the button again, it will show:

Watts
Volts
Battery Level (%)
Ohms
IQ

If I click when it first shows Watts, it will go to another screen to adjust them.
If I click when it first shows Volts, it will switch the mode from watts to volts and give me the option to adjust with volts instead of watts.
If I click on Battery Level (%), Ohms or IQ, the P3 ignores me.

Action plan - Review Manual - and ignore, unless a specific question arises.

It holds your settings. You can also use a preset to save all of your current settings.

it seems like a lot to learn at first, but after you have it tweaked, you really don't use the menus too much. Unless you are obsessed with your IQ, that is.

Yeah but dude...the point is the IQ won't affect your vape until it's hanging out around 50...and even then, it's not the IQ that is affecting the vape...it's just a report on the battery quality, which is what's affecting the performance...
So why bother doing that?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again...you people are going to obsess over the IQ until it kills you.
