Official ProVari 3 Thread - P3

Thread is too much to sort through. Read first post though....I understand new design yadada but any chance of "ever" upgraded internals for past ProVari owners? Maybe it's me being narcissistic but I don't feel elite if a better product is being sold through vendors after I bought from ProVape years ago. (I'll wait on the supply/demand lecture). Are the $20 upgrade days over?

EDIT: Just anything...wattage, multiple lcd colors, etc. I feel like I funded the V3 and could barely afford my 2.5 lol

Glad to hear, that is quite an achievement...

Not at this time, a 79 Caddi cannot be made into a 95 Caddi without exceeding the cost of the 95 Caddi.

Don't know what Narcissistic means...

ProVape has a Great Website that goes over their current product line, and various upgrade options.

Jim

EDIT: Glad you could make the P3 available to us?!?

Apparently you funded more than me. Must be nice. Some people aren't blessed with disposal income. Not asking for gps and backup camera...just a decent stereo.

The Provari 1, 2 and 2.5 were basically the same device with cosmetic differences and minor changes to the electronics/amp limit.

The P3 is a completely new device.
Everlasting $20 'upgrades' would be a pretty lousy business model.

I think you should take into account the 2 pad habit that you no longer have.

Perhaps then, you could afford what you would like to have to keep you off of the stinkies.

Just my thoughts, Jim

PS I have not funded anything but my own desire to consume. I like you also have invested in a product that truly does provide a return of the initial investment, that could be realized thru Fleebay selling of old equipment...

My morning chuckle. Glad I have coffee now. I have no complaints about my ProVari. Never held a V3 so I don't know if it is built as well. Mines been dropped on concrete from ladders and even ran over twice. Still looks and works like new. But "upgrades" always sounds like something to discuss.

And a fine upgrade a P3 is.

Built with the same quality and attention to detail as any ProVape product.

It does not disappoint!

As one who has read this entire thread, you are the first post in such an offensive way. I am on SSDI and no one has heard me whining. I have and love my P3, and found that even with buying both my 2.5 and now the P3 I have saved much $$ over my smoking habit.

And not to worry, as the P3 neither has GPS or a backup camera installed.

Other than 'trolling' there is no reason for you to be here, please go elsewhere. There is no $20 upgrade, and since you have no disposable income, you may wish to consider the new istick instead.

My approach is a bit different to some others. The P3 is a very nice device. It is undoubtedly a ProVari, having the same quality and sturdiness. However, while I'm enjoying playing with the bells and whistles, it's main features don't really match my vaping style. I rarely vape over 12 watts and the lowest coils I build are about 1.2Ω. If you vape like I do and the P3 isn't comfortably in your budget, don't stress about missing anything.

I want to clarify that the P3 is great, but the v2.5 is just as good (if not better when taking the price into account) if you don't vape more than 15 watts or build coils below 0.9Ω (which the v2.5 can fire).

And see, I think the boost feature on the P3 is the berries for low/medium power vapers. It allows us to use thicker wires in our builds without that disappointing heat-up time. The thicker wire imparts a stronger flavor hit.

I contacted Prvape and was contacted back by them within hours.
They provided some insight to the issues. Most of them relate to the spring in the end cap. They provided a better understanding of the IQ and the relationship between IQ battery performance.
More importantly, the time, energy and sincerity that they demonstrated was worth much more than the the price of 10 Provari's(6more than I currently own).
Thank you Provape for being a first class operation.
I will update on the fix.

Learn something new every day (or minute, in my case!). It's the thicker wire? At what point does diminishing returns kick in? Ummm...Love Boost!

I'm a BVC, non-coil building guy. For me, they work great. I vape at 9.8 watts on a 1.8 ohm coil. But that boost thingy is what sets the P3 apart. It's hands down "THE" killer feature of the P3. It makes EVERY vape fantastic. While I still like and occasionally enjoy my 2.5, the Boost feature on the P3 trumps it hands down.

I'll look forward to hearing how this progresses for you. Hopefully they offered a solution that will prevent you from having to send it to the Mother Spa.
