I wonder the same thing. I don't chain vape, but I vape pretty steadily throughout the day on a 1.4 ohm coil at 12.5 watts. I've just assumed up to this point that people getting 3-4 hour run time are either hardcore chain vaping, or running high wattage multi coil setups, or both.

Sub-Ohm'ing certainly can use up a battery pretty fast. But here on the Provape forum, we know people can't do that, so they must be sucking in the juice at a pretty rapid pace. Yes they must! Still, I go through some juice the way I vape on a daily basis. I'd guess I go through about 3 - 4 ml a day as I have a 5 ml tank and it get's low by the time I go to bed at night.

The best measure would be how much juice you use daily.
I go through 6-7 mls a day of 50/50 juice @ 11.4 watts on the P3. When I use the bvc coils they are 1.8. On my kayfun or Russian @ 1.4.
490s just about make it to dinner time.

How does one spot a fake VTC5? The vape store nearest me says they're authentic ... I tend towards trusting until I'm given a reason to do otherwise, but I suppose there's merit to "trust, then verify."

It's not always easy LB. The fakers have gotten pretty good disguising their inferior products. Best way is to go by what you hear on ECF. For example, it is common knowledge that ProVape and RTD Vapors retail genuine AWs.

I bought AWs from RTD, and the KFL+ 2nd batch from VapeRev, assuming both were reputable. My VTC5s all came from the local vape shop. They seem to last a good while both in the P3 and Gi2, though I don't vape at high wattage (4.4 volts on P3 and 4.8 on Gi2, max). I wouldn't like to think that I bought fakes, though! :?:

I understand. Never feels good to get ripped off. Yes, you're safe with VapeRev in terms of authenticity of the Kayfuns.

I've never used 18350's. One 18490 lasts me from the time I'm up at 7:00 AM until I go to bed around 11:30 PM with lot's of vaping inbetween. :vapor:

First time - all I've used so far is the 18350s, and I get most of a day - usually change out once every 20-26hrs or so. The cool thing is the small format, but then while I vape a lot, it's only on my Silo, at 9-12 watts.

Since we have the same setup with Silo and we Vape about the same watts (though I'm consistent at 9.8 watts) I could likely go all day on 18350. I just worry I'd be out and run out of battery power. Someone might die if that happens. So I figure I'm doing that unknown person a huge favor by using 18490 AW's.

Yes I am!

Sounds like you and I vape at about the same settings as well...
I'm usually running between 1.4-1.8 ohms, at 10 watts...
I can get 1-1.5 days on an 18350...and because they're so small, it's easy to carry an extra battery with me, just in case...
I never used 18350 mode until I got my P3...now it's all I use. I'd rather carry the extra battery, and use the P3 in its smallest form, than carry the P3 in its bigger form(s)...

P.S. I know everyone does their own thing, but why don't you take a little step over to the 10 watt side? It's only 0.2 watts higher than where you're at, and might make just enough difference for you...I mean, it can only be better! I really doubt 0.2 watts will cause you any negative side effects! No it won't!

I've tried going 10 watts or higher and it was a bit warmer and the vape didn't taste as good to me on my full size Silo. 9.8 watts seems to be the right setting for how I vape. Yes it is!

I may have to get a couple 18350 batteries and see if I can a full day out of them.

I often wonder how people seem to run out of battery in a few hours? I vape pretty much all day long and one 18490 has plenty of power. I'm at 9.8 watts on a 1.8 Ohm Coil.

Lol. I'm exactly the opposite. I've often wondered why people that use one 18490 (or even a few I've heard from that use one 18350) a day don't just quit entirely. I go though two 18650s (and occasionally even start on a third) and around 12-15 ml liquid per day. Normal setup for me is between 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω at 10 watts on a regulated mod and RTA lately. But even when I was using mechs and gennies I'd use one 18650 at work and two or three 18350s at home, again between 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω.

12-15mL per DAY at 10 watts!? So, you literally never remove the drip tip from your mouth then... :p

Just curious, what mg nic do you use? I use 12-15mg, so I don't need to chain vape to get what I need out of it.

Generally I'll take five drags or so every 15 minutes. I use 6mg liquids. I know if I upped the nic content I could probably vape less often and use less liquid (and by extension, less battery). But I made a conscious decision that I prefer consistent nic intake throughout the day rather then the same ups and downs I used to get when smoking. Plus... it just tastes so damn good. :)

This is also the reason I've never gotten on with drippers. I'd be re-dripping all the time.
