On the right hand side of the new forum page is a box with your avatar, forum name, messages, likes and points. What are the points for? Anyone know?

Sad day. I'll be off-line. We have to take our beloved 17 year old cat to be put to sleep. I've been crying all day and Charlie, my husband is beyond upset.

Hey Everyone! I'm so glad to see the forum back online!! I've missed you all and I've now been HAPPILY vaping on my KFL+ for three days now!!

So, here are my thoughts on the KFL+
Here's what's not wonderful.
- ItS WONDERFUL, just like everyone kept saying.
- The flavor is terrific
- The vapor level is great
- It's so much quieter than the Sub tank Mini
- It's finished incredibly well - the quality of craftsmanship is evident in every piece
All in all, I had a fairly easy go of building a coil for it. It turned out to be 1.4 ohm. What's surprising is that I typically vape a whatever wattage = 4.4 volts. But on the KFL+ with a 1.4 ohm coil, 10 watts/3.8 volts seems to be perfect. And that's a great thing as it makes the battery last all day.
- It's a PIA to fill and I've got to get one of those Kayfil Tools, Yes I do
- It's hard to tell when you filled it enough to get through a day without filling again
- Once filled, it's a Biatch to get to the build deck without having to empty it
- And like PB mentioned in his video, it does whistle - but that's a minor nit
- For a device costing this much, the box it comes in is pretty pathetic and there is no manual at all - but that was OK as I had watched enough videos to know how it all worked!
I ordered a "thingy" from FT that fits in the top and allow you to unscrew the base without losing juice and fill from the bottom. Let you know how it works when it gets here from China

There really is nothing sadder than losing an animal who has loved you unconditionally for 17 years. She was the most amazing cat I've ever been owned by. And the condo already seems empty without her. Almost every post I'd type during my home times, would be with her sitting on my shoulder, gently purring with her tail gently swaying. She slept with us every night and was the most communicative and engaging pet I've ever had. I can't convey my sadness and the loss we both feel. What a difference a week makes. Last Friday, we got married. Today, we put our cat to rest........So So Sad. Yes I am..........
I like that thought Ping. The whistle really doesn't bother me. In some ways it let's me know she's firing as she's awfully quiet compared to anything else I've had!
Bronze, about 6 weeks ago, we woke up and she was very lethargic, when she had been quite active the night before. We watched her for a day, but noticed she wouldn't eat, so we took her to the vet and they did blood work and an ultrasound and discovered she had a massively inflamed pancreas. They put her on all sorts of medicine, including inserting a feeding tube down her throat, which we had to push nutrients through. No matter what we've done and with over $5000 in vet bills racked up over these six weeks, she was losing weight and wasting away. This morning, she had lost control of her bladder and her hind legs. She had been to vet just two days ago and we thought she might be getting better. But when I saw how bad she was this morning, I let Charlie spend the day with her, but I spoke with the vet and we came to the conclusion there was likely something way more bad going on (she suspected kidney cancer) and since she was now down to only 3.5 pounds, it was time to let her go with the dignity she had left.
It was so hard for us and our vet who had cared for her many years. Even the vet assistants came in crying as everyone loved our little girl. Yes they did.

Thank you my Dear Kat! I went out and looked at how I got those points. Not bad when you consider I haven't been a member a full year yet. My one anniversary comes up, I think this July.
So sorry for your loss Sir Rod! That is one of the hardest things we have to do for the pets we love.

We certainly are more humane to our furry friends than our human ones. That's an absolute.........
I have a good friend here on ECF who just put her cat down a couple weeks ago. Her cat was 22-1/2 years old. I called her Durakitty more than two years ago and that's what she called her cat henceforth. She was devastated. Within a few days, she happened upon a kitten that looked just like her Durakitty so she took it. I suspect you will get another kitten too once you can get past the grief. Heck, get two. They're more fun to watch and you will have done a great deed for two needy animals.
