Hey DEAc, the new forum is actually pretty nice and easy to use, but I know I'm not along when I say there is just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much white on the screen. They really need to add some skins to tone the screen down a bit. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

That is one of the first things I tried to do, change to my old dark background, but I wasn't able to find the option anywhere :nah:

That's a cuz, 'ya can't! I'm sure they'll deal with this at some point. A number of people have made it more than clear there's too much white on the screen!

I also looked all over for the option to change this "Mood" feature, but couldn't figure it out. How do you change it?

In order to change your mood, you need to be a ECF Supporting Member. It's only $2/month to support ECF and let's face it, we'd all be lost without this forum. At least I would. Yes I would!

Pop........this new coil has settled down quite a bit. In fact, it's producing great tasting vapor, but it doesn't seem to be popping much at all. It's so quiet that until I inhale, I'm not even sure it's doing anything. Pretty cool to be honest!
Sir Rod, popping occurs when cool juice comes in contact with bare, super hot metal (your coil). As you vape, the coils begin to gunk up acting as an insulator of sorts. You will notice less popping as your coil gunks up.

I'm beginning to wonder if the other coils I made were really at fault or if I was simply not used to the way a KFL+ pops with a brand new coil? I suspect it's the later and Sir Rod, being a Kayfun newbie was just being hyper-sensitive to the sound a coil makes when new.........

It's possible. Personally, I love that popping noise. I know things are operating at optimal levels. :)

At least I now know more of what to expect and I likely shouldn't have been so frustrated and confused. I have the amazing ability to make something more complex than it is or needs to be. Unfortunately, I do!

Now that it appears you have your KFL functioning as designed, you can play around with your power levels and boost setting again. Try a range of wattage points to see what you like the most. I would do them in no less than 2 watt increments so each change makes a difference. Once you find the best spot you can fine tune in smaller increments within your preferred range. Don't let anyone tell you the optimal power level. Only you can figure that out for yourself.

I've actually been doing just that Bronze. I up for a while, then go down for a while and will fiddle with watts until I land on the one that produces the best flavor and vapor level to me.

Thanks again my friend!

It might be because I can't find the option, but once I selected a mood I can't seem to go back to no mood. I'm tired of being moody.

'Brow, after attempting to use several extensions for Chrome, I ultimately happened on one that works, and works WELL. If you use Chrome, you might like this one!

If you click on your mood, you can change it to a variety of (infantile) selections. (Works for me!)

Click on mood and the mood options come up. The No Mood option is on the right hand side below Mello and above Pensive.
