I have Ravnhaus to thank for my latest conquest - a satin stainless P3. I decided to check my usual dealer, who had a sale on Provari goods. They had a satin P3 listed for 199.99 CDN which is not too bad for Canadian prices on Provari. Alas, they were out of stock, so I did some Googlefu and came up with a different dealer in Canada. As fate would have it, they had a P3 satin stainless on sale for $130 CDN! I couldn't get the plastic out fast enough and my brand new P3 is in the mail as I type.

I don't know, there is just something about the P3 that I like. Perhaps it is the extensive menu or the ability to choose from 3 different battery profiles? In any event, I have 2 Procyons which I am very impressed with and soon they will be joined with another P3. The Provari gods are smiling. :)

A solid device. Great control and versatile. Satin wears well. Mine is currently sporting a kayfun Mini V3 and performing perfectly. Loves the Kabuki as well. It should serve you well for many years.

And that leads me to my next question. As a devout MTL type with 6 Nautilus tanks, do you think I would be pleased with the Kabuki P3 thread tank? I think that I can live with the 3ml rather than 5ml and the profile of the P3 Kabuki thread on the Provari is very attractive, yet can I achieve a similar draw on the Kabuki vs. a Nautilus?

In one word, yes. I have a few Nautilus also, they're all put away for now. The Kabuki's have taken their place. I am also a MTL type. And can set the air flow for the perfect MTL vape. The flavor is also improved with the Kabuki.:)

Perfect! Thanks, Gnees. :thumb:
Justin at Canada eJuice can order you one in if they don't have stock and I find their prices are less than in the US. $99 or $109 CAD IIRC for black/stealth.

I bought GMZ and SS Kabukis there. I ain't cheap, but I won't pay more just to buy in Canada.

Might be worth a look in then classifieds as well but you would need to be "verified". Actually, I would strongly recommend looking in the CL for deals on black Kabukis. ;)

Two stainless Kabuki P3 tanks on the way. Does anyone know who might stock the black version?
Good choice. Stock up on coils at evape.us. Best prices I have seen lately. You will love this tank. I recommend picking up a couple of Kanger SubTank Minis at $10 each at VAPEHAPPY - Vaping Products and Accessories. Rebuildable deck that I am loving and I am new to that. You will have the best of both worlds. And then there is the Svoe Mini V3... but I digress. Kabuki and Provari... perfect union.

How is the battery life on the Provari Procyon? I use the Kabuki on p3 but, I'm thinking of getting kayfun 5.
Depends on how much power you use. I found battery use fine, but I vary between my various units throughout the day. I am cruising 8.4 watts about 1.9 ohm on the Procylon and Kabuki. Kayfun is a great choice. Rocking on a V3 original. Bought, but have not tried the 5 original. I have a couple of V3 clones on the way. Procylon will set you up for a wide range of vaping styles. Beautifully styled and built like a tank. I love mine.

Thank you. If you own a p3, I was wondering if you can tell the difference in quality between the two? I'm surprised nobody has done any reviews on YouTube on the Procyon.
P3 peaks at 20 watts. Procylon at 50 watts. Provari quality is the same no matter what model you buy. Excellent. Customer service... excellent. What more can I say? I have them all. No regrets.

The Procyon is basically an 18650-only P3 with 50 watts, different engraving, 1/8" taller improved end cap, and a dumbed down display with only watts + ohms + image of a battery meter. Unless I've overlooked it, it doesn't flash the LED for low battery level.

While it can be used with the same 20 watt or less applications as the P3, the Procyon's 2.5X power can feed high air flow RDAs for lung hits, especially those with multiple coils and more coil mass to heat up. It's a good match with the Stumpy RDA shown on ProVapes Procyon page, and the combination of the two is shorter than a P3 in 18350 mode with a KFL+, which is shorter than most Kayfuns.

It also seems to be a good match for the new high air flow, 40 watt max Kayfun 5, which was designed for lung hits, although the combination of these two long components might make it look like a billy club. To reach 40 watts with its 6 volts max, coil resistance should be 0.9Ω or less and to reach 50 watts, 0.72Ω or less. The Procyon can handle coils down to 0.4Ω, but I'm not sure what its max amperage is. I'm building for it in the 0.56 - 0.71Ω range.

Since one of my P3s was often in the 18650 mode, the Procyon was a good addition for me. I'm only using it with RDAs for the time being. I might add, I'm using it with AW IMR 3000 mAH batteries and those work fine at higher power levels.
