The radius charges much slower than the Rdna 40 but I'm sure it's better for the battery. I'm very cautious when it comes to safety which is why I wanted a provari. The provape name and assurance of safety is why I choose this device.
Yes, a slower charge is less destructive on the battery. It's also safer. I believe in Busardo's video he mentioned it has a .85a charge rate (could be wrong). But this would be in keeping with ProVape's safety first philosophy as well. I believe the masses do overnight charging which means there is plenty of time to fully charge the battery at .85a.

The charging has not been an issue for me as I'm around a charger most of the time or I carry a back up battery which I've not yet needed.

Yes, yes, I drank the kool-aid I admit it.
This is the box mod I have been looking for.

Good Holy God

But once the shock subsides and the wheels start turning again, this is about 20 cartons' worth of Radii where I used to buy them; most of us here would otherwise have smoked our way through that in a few months, then had nothing to show for it but the tar left in our lungs.

Got my Black onyx radius last week so I've spent a week with it and I wanted to share my thoughts. The two devices in my regular rotation as of now are the radius and an Rdna 40. All the other mods I own no longer fit my vaping style including my classic provari. I'm using a kanger subtank mini and a mutation x4 atop my devices vaping at around .5 to .6 ohms at 25 watts. Higher on the mutation x. I never felt the need to go above 35 watts which is why I thought the radius was a good choice. So out of the box you see the construction is great. Feels solid and looks incredible. This is to be expected with provape! I check out the menu, not a fan, but it's really not that bad to get used to. I'm ready to vape. I place my kanger subtank mini with the new SSOCC coils on my radius and put the boost up to 5 and watts at 24.6. The vape was incredible. So much better than the Rdna 40, I'm assuming due to the boost option. The flavor is fantastic and you still get nice plumes of vapor. I was pleasantly surprised because I was not sure what to expect. I haven't even been using the Rdna 40 because the vape feels lack luster. I guess it will sit in my drawer :)
As far as charging via usb goes, I was used to this with the Rdna 40 so it was not a big deal. It feels like a bit of a pain to change the battery but in all reality it really is not. The radius charges much slower than the Rdna 40 but I'm sure it's better for the battery. I'm very cautious when it comes to safety which is why I wanted a provari. The provape name and assurance of safety is why I choose this device. I wanted to share this for anyone on the fence. The boost makes this device something special. Of course there are people who vape at higher watts and this device won't fit their needs but if you're an under 40 watt vaper I feel this is a must have. Sorry for the long post but hopefully it'll help some make a decision.

Nobody said you had to come in here and write a long review.
Thank you for taking the time to do so and provide such detail. It certainly will help those on the fence. :thumb:

I think the same way. My cartons were $70 X 4 every month so $280 per month.
I got 10% off the Radii so it equals out to about 3 months worth of cancer sticks.

Long review? Did I miss something? I read it as @Vap3Go4t just sharing his thoughts on his new mod.

Is your Rdna40 by vaporshark? that is the only instance where I see the radius charging slower, as it charges at 800 or 850 mAh (can never remember which :p), but vaporshark uses that "Zip" charging at 2 amp.

ZIP charging at 2amps??? No way I would subject my Bat's to that kind of abuse!

Very well said! Most complaining about the price of Quality, (Provari), I spent far more than the cost of a Radius each and every month on those Dayum Stinkies! And now that there is something that is so much better for them, and taste so much better, They are Whining??? Go figure. Ya just can't please some people. Geesh!

Many people dont spend $200+ at a time when they get cigarettes. If one is buying by the pack then yea....I could see the sticker shock of a one-time ProVape device. We often dont think about how the cost per pack adds up during the month.

Yep! and that is Exactly how people spend all their money, without having a clue as to where the heck it goes!
It's called never looking ahead! (Or just flat not paying attention to their own lives. ;)

I mean, how the devil can someone spend thousands of dollars on something year in, and year out, and have NO clue to what they are doing? Much less having clue as to how many of those coffin tacks they are dumping into their lungs.
Seems a lot of folks walk thru life without having a clue as to what is going in their lives, much less around them. Kinda explains why we are in the mess we're in with our Lives, Relationships, Ecomoney, Country and the World in General Today. :( The masses simply don't pay attention to what is going on around them!

My wife and I spent 400.00+ a month on stinkies, and the Radius was 200.00. We all, or at least most of us, have to pay bills each and every month. How can you NOT know who much you spend on necessities each month?

We spend a LOT less on vaping than we did on the Stinkie Train. I don't even want to think about what we could do today, with all the money we spent on cigs.

The SM logo on the far left looked gold, which I had seen on a few clones. My wife has one in long mode and loves it.

Oh, I see. For some reason, my UC did that after the very first cleaning. Not sure why since I do not use a real harsh cleaning agent.
All of my Kayfuns (six V4s) came directly from inTaste.de and the machining is just incredibly smooth and perfect.
I've seen and worked with at least 5 different brands of V4 clones (not mine) and they were pretty bad as far as threads and fit go, when compared to an authentic.

I'm a watch guy and have a nice small collection of really good mechanical watches. One day, I plan to add a Panerai to my collection as well. But the watch that most has my attention these days is the Breguet Marine:

Nice! I love those.

I was a Rolex guy for years but maintenance was killing me. I have had an Omega Seamaster for 15 years and that is basically the only watch I wear. I love it.

I think I posted this once a long time ago, but I was published in a national watch magazine for an article I wrote on one of my diver watches (though I don't dive). It's attached if'n anyone wants to read it.
