Hey @Knifemaker - Do you ever make art/decorative knives?

Well, some are displayed in museums from time to time. I'm now retired for medical reasons. I do know if I wanted to buy one back, the prices on the collector market has gone crazy. Never thought they would be being traded and sold for thousands of dollars each. They were designed to be used, by adventurers, Sportsmen, and Combat. Never thought they would become such High End collector's Items.
I sure couldn't' afford one! Nor did I get any where near the Big Bucks they are bringing today. It does feel good to have your work so appreciated though.

When I first started shopping at my local vape shop, as soon as you walked in the door it was like walking into a fog machine. That was then. When I go in now, most are using tops like a Kabuki on a regulated mod, like a Radius. The owner of the shop's daily driver is a Radius with a Kabuki. Times change and so do people's priorities.

My local B&M is one of those trendy places geared toward the flat brim cap skater crowd. They don't even carry anything that's not sub-ohm.

There's a couple flavors I have to order online, can't find them anywhere around here. The Lapsang Souchong has a wonderful smoky taste and aroma, black tea cured over burning pine boughs ( brings back fond memories of campfires). The other is Orange Bliss, another black tea with a strong orange aroma and citrus flavor. Some days I'll put a couple fresh rosemary leaves in with the Lapsang. I lost my taste for coffee when I switched to vaping, for over thirty years coffee went hand in hand with a smoke for me...it was a small price to pay in the end.

I was amazed at the selection they had at the Twinings store. Some of the more exotic varieties cost as much as 45 pounds sterling for a pint-sized jar. My wife must have her Bustelo every morning (she's a Latina, after all), so I always have a mug with her. For the rest of the day, it's tea exclusively.

BUT.
The batteries are $79+ tax. Period.

If the device is damaged, and replacing the battery isn't feasible, then the whole phone must be replaced.
They won't put a new battery in a phone with a broken screen, or dented metal body.
This may be where the "other cost" came from?
I've been a RABID Apple "fanboi" since before the iPhone.
I'm truly sorry you've had the experiences you say you've had...but honestly, I just can't see those things happening.
I am so familiar with their policies and procedures I may as well work there! Ha!
Maybe I need to go apply...hmm...

BUT.
The batteries are $79+ tax. Period.

If the device is damaged, and replacing the battery isn't feasible, then the whole phone must be replaced.
They won't put a new battery in a phone with a broken screen, or dented metal body.
This may be where the "other cost" came from?

After Googling their tech support page, I now want to take my wife's old style ipod and get it a new battery for her. It's about an hour drive for me to get to the store. I think she would be happy to have that old thumbwheel scrolling back...

Depending on how old it is, they may not be able to offer support for it.
After 5 years it's considered "Vintage", and only software support is available.
After 7 years it's considered "Obsolete", which means maybe advice, but no software or hardware options available.
Also, for the iPods, they weren't able to replace batteries. They would just replace the whole unit.
Gotta love to hate a "captured battery" setup!

You can also pick up a battery on eBay and replace it yourself. It's a very easy process.

Happy New Years everyone, a smoke free new years. Going to a big party where very few still smoke, the gal tells me it's ok to vape in the house but the smokers give me a bad look, so I just go outside with them and try to get some new recruits. There hopeless, I have given them all nice start up kits with nautilus mini. None will stick with it, so I tell their nonsmoking wives to stay on their asses to quit. Oh well at least i tried.

I thought I read the fake one has a P3 connection. On the real one, there is no adjustable pin as the coil comes in direct contact with the pin. Silly me thinking the clone would be the same. He chose to attack me just like you are now. I chose to take the high road and make light of it, just like I'm going to now!

It wasn't meant as an attack. My bad, if it read that way. I have the authentic p3, not 510, so I wouldn't have contact issues either. I simply read your response wrong. You offered return advice, which I believed sincere. Your answer to him made me think otherwise.

Just about every town in America has a 3rd party iFix-it kind of place. There's one in Tampa called the iHospital. The guys actually work in hospital scrubs. But they fix just about any iDevice. I'll bet if you google your town and Apple repairs, you'll find one near you too.

Ha Ha, I'm surrounded by tobacco, soybean, and cotton farms I did do a quick search, there's some shops around but they are spread out. I'm going to go pick the genius bar folks brains and see if they can recommend someone to me. It'll be a nice day trip. I might could try it myself if I can find some video's, I'll search the youtubes. I've got six months till her birthday, so plenty of time...
