Sooooo once again it's the cloud chasers fault.

Mostly. I believe it is cloud chasing in enclosed spaces , in front of entrances. And poor parenting to blame.

Look the bottom line is when people were hitting ecigs and blowing indistinguishable vapor there was a lot less attention drawn than kids who may be 18 but look 15 chucking storm clouds inside of movie theatres. It became an annoying thing to people. Then their kids started vaping nicotine based liquids underage and saying stupid things like "it's not a cigarette it's cotton can't flavor"

Bt yah. Cloud chasers who lack consideration for non smokers / vapers are a big reason why so many hate vaping. At least here. I see it regularly. Huge clouds blow at people. Even in conversation they're exhaling into someone's face.

So let's clarify it to this. Obnoxious behaviour by young vapers not limited to but including cloud chasing drew a ton of negative attention to vaping along with parents who didn't control their children and want the government to do it for them.

If you want to blow huge clouds in your house or somewhere other than in front of a doorway who cares. It would be nice if massive clouds weren't popping up in public places and turning businesses into a rock show with 12 fog machines.

You've witnessed this?

Creative license. Sheesh. I was making a point.

Cmon does anyone really believe that blowing massive clouds in enclosed spaces did not draw negative attention to vaping ?

I have seen people blow massive clouds in small spaces with children around. Absolutely.

I don't direct ling hit but I vape pretty voluminous and densely. I have to be aware of how and where I vape and I adjust my power settings if I'm sitting st coffee outside or similar so it's not as invasive.

Anyway it's just my experience and opinion. I could be wrong.

I just did the Ver 26 on my Radius, Don't have time to fiddle around with TC. Glad they put it there there for folks who use it though. I'll be watching this thread for any reports about this upgrade, I didn't get a notice from ProVape, and I did sign up for software notifications on their site...

I'm stunned how well coil control is working with a nichrome 80 build. My other temp control mods suck with this wire. It's working like an absolute champ inside a taifun gt2 (authentic - can't vouch for the clones working as well)

I had no idea there had been updates so I'm quite chuffed with this. For those rolling eyes and resisting because if a belief all temp control stinks. Do yourself s favour and try jt. It's quite different t than the m class. Dna200 Etc. it is a pain to find the right setting but surely we can make a shared Google doc with web fork submission to chart settings and builds.

I'd there's interest j can create one and get jt going? I may do it if only for my personal use.

Who would be in for that?

** heads up. When you're adjusting to test you have to wait for the tank to return to room temperature if changing the alpha value of the coil control settings. Failure to do so (changing directly after vaping) will give far different results and won't taste good or vape well. The instructions from provape say to place he tank on and go through the process they don't specify that you must wait when hanging alpha value. I believe this is an error in documentation, not the result of the coil being set properly. If I had to guess id say the resistance of the coil is read every time the alpha value is set - it doesn't carry across alpha settings without change. I'll reach out and confirm this bt if you had bad results try starting with a7 as specified but before proceeding to b,c,d etc wait 2-3 mins i don't believe you need to wait when changing the numeric value or intensity, which seems to control power not wire curve.

I may be wrong and I'll reach out to confirm but this is my observation so far. Anyone else have a similar one, different one ?
Good post. Thanks.

The reason why I gave up on TC was due to it being a PITA and not working any better than VW/VV in my Snow Wolf, RX200's and SX Mini M.

I may try it with SS and Nichrome wire for S&G.

I tried cc with stock coil installed in a free Nauti PV included in my Radii order. I think/thought it's a 1.6 ohm coil, so I followed the directions to the letter, G1 up to G7, then backed off to G5. Got an error msg to switch back to VW at G4. I'll try again, starting at A1 ... letting it cool to room temp between each alpha setting. Thanks for the guidance!

The error to switch back is what it says when he coil goes dry as far as I can tell. If you wait for it to wick it should work fine. See if that's the case. It's not terribly intuitive if they do display that message with A dry coil. Every time mine has paused to rewick and cut me off its said the same error

Wel I have to be honest. My nichrome build. The same one. Is not working at all now with coil control. I removed the tank to fill it and it's refusing to work. Resetting to a7 doesn't even work. So ok not sure what the issue is considering I have it enough time to get to room temp.

I'm switching to 316L in a minute as it should be much more consistent. Nichrome 80 isn't really considered a temp control material.

Regarding your experience with tc prior. I've found that almost without exception any included material mode doesn't work well. I have to enter values in manual
Mode to get s good vape.

The absolute best tc material I've found is nife48 from Zipif.de

It's a little inconvenient to order from eu if kite in the USA. But that wire gives me results transparent to wattage mode with all the benefits of tc. Without fail it works every time. It has a big enough differential to be read easily. No rattlesnake power. Good flavor.

The only reason I'm mucking about with others is that I happen to have 2000 ft of 316L. I don't use stainless in contact coils. While t seems like it will
Work it never does without hot spots. I find in general I prefer the vape I get from spaces coils. Even kanthal. I tend to subscribe to the idea that unless you're making a proper microcoil (1.5 mm or less id) or have super limited space there's no point in making contact coils. I find density in particular is much better with spaced coils. With limited exception in temp control you have to space the coil. In case you were unaware. Nife48 works in contact coil mode I've found. I believe USA sold nife52 is the same thing but not positive. Does have the same tcr

If you're patient order some nife48 from
Zipif. If you want to wait I'll actually do my next build with it on the radius. I haven't tried the other nife wire available in the USA. It may be just as good. May not be. If the goal is to get w vape just like wattage mode with the dry burn protection of temp Control. Grab that wire. In your other mods which can accept manual entry the tcr value for it is .0405. Which as you can see is far greater than the .00089-00092 of stainless. The larger that number the better temp Control works typically. Stainless is one of the lowest. The lower grade stainless works better and has a higher tcr value because it contains nickel i believe. Everyone runs to implant grade surgical stainless when's e reality is anything food grade (304) or above is going to be clean to vape. Higher grade is just More expensive with a worse tcr value.

If you want to pm me i can send you a list of tcr values to enter in non DNA temp control mods for popular wire types. They apply to yihi chips. Evic. Istick etc. single values as opposed to csv like the DNA chipset uses.

Sorry for the length of my posts. I'm trying to be helpful for those who may be less familiar.

Here's the nife48 I like. 100 meters is €21
10 meters is €5

NiFe48 Wire 0.32mm / .0126" / AWG 28

I'd recommend given the ordering process you order the big spool. If you don't want it I'll buy it from you. Im Going to order some
More Myself. Almost out !!

I have the Cabernet/Bronze combo and I think it's really sharp (see my avatar). :thumb:

Don't they offer 10% off pretty regularly? I swear I see it at least once a month. Twitter. Email. Etc

I don't see the sale.

I'd like to get a white one with stealth metal. I feel the addons are too pricey to justify. If I spec it out how I want in at almost $300. I feel like the metal finishes at least should be part of the already high price. I do believe they make quality products. And they're worth the money in general. But not the addons. Especially since the stealth finish seems to be incredibly delicate from what I've seen.

Can anyone confirm if the metal finishing has changed since the p3 or how the stealth finish on radius is wearing for them ?

I want to make a storm trooper radius.

I stupidly just realized they didn't lower the minimum resistance with their addition of temp control. Which means no nickel. Maybe no titanium. Maybe no nife48.

I tried a .35 nife48 build and received the message the temp
Was too high and I needed to raise the atomizer or power levels. Unfortunately i7 didn't work. So I'm guessing minimum resistance for coil mode is .4 - the lowest supported on their chart. So they're banking on stainless steel pretty hard. I guess I could move to 30 gauge nife and titanium. But id rather not. I can probably get another couple wraps of 28 nife in and that should put me
Over .4.

I just assumed in coil mode it would have a lower minimum resistance. I wonder why they did not change that and if they'll adjust the firmware to remedy that. There's no reason not to support at least .1 that I can see considering they ship with a 25r and have all kinds of fail safe tech.

I know this is purely subjective, but I'm leaning toward a brighter color with good ole satin silver and a clear CZ. Can anyone tell me if the Midnight is really dark like it appears on the PV site, like almost black, or much brighter in person? Ditto for the Concord Grape?

The stealth finish is far from bullet proof. My nearly new Stealth Rad now sports a nick in the finish after a one foot drop to flagstone. No idea on how it compares to the P3.

Very dark
Darn it, but THANK YOU for the info! This may sound silly, but I'm recovering from one surgery, and facing another one next month that'll have me completely one-handed for up to three months. I want cheery colors in my hand.
