So if history repeats itself, as Provape likes to announce new devices around Sept/Oct timeframe. Any rumors of a new devices in the near future from Provape? Love my Radius, but would love to see something fresh and new from Provape. Or has the FDA put a stop to this for now.
Unfortunately I think the procyon, 60 watt Radius and the 30 watt P3 are the last hurrah from provape for now :(

I'm loving this Radius sat on holiday in Florida! how you guys cope with the humidity here is beyond the comprehension of this brit though :w00t:

Very tempted to grab a Ti procyon whilst I'm over here, save me a ton of cash! Just not used a tube mod in so long that I'm not sure I'll readjust to one.

The 60 watt Radius is likely the last new device, software update, or new anything from Provape...or any US brand.

The FDA basically froze the market for new products/innovation as of 8/8/16

What sucks is their list of what qualifies as a "tobacco product" is far too long.

It includes the software as a tobacco product, as an example of their insanity.

This is the world we live in.

And if folks don't believe their vote counts come November, think long and hard before sitting that one out cause your vaping future may depend on it.

It's like riding a bike....comes back easily.

I have no problem using ProVi tubes and the Radius every day. :)

The Procyon come in Ti, and that's always tempting.

The screen has failed on my blue 60W Radius.
I removed the battery and replaced it. Now it fires at 60 watts (I remember that was the default) and the screen is blank so I can't see what I'm doing when I try to reduce the wattage. Before I open a ticket with Provape, I thought I'd ask if anyone has had this experience and if so, any tips? Thanks

No experience such as yours...

But I always adjust my wattage via the small buttons.

No display used by me.

Try to process the device through an update on your computer.
Many software updatable electronics can have their issues resolved simply by reflagging the software.

Somewhere out there
Thanks HBcorpse. I had already tried to re-flash the 40cc version that was already on it. Thanks to your suggestion, I tried to re-program it to the 60 Radius ver 03. No joy :(
I'm sure Provape will fix it. I have 2 Radius now and love them. One new and one I got used. No issues with either one.

My sympathies. Silver lining, it's a ProVari and ProVape will fix it cheap. Godspeed.

The Lan Dow Nunda
G'day All.
I have a bit of a conundrum.

I'm a relatively new vaper. Started earlier this year with evods and quickly moved to a Kanger top tank mini starter kit.
The kanger "broke" in less than 2 months (fixed now though) and after finding this forum I realised my vaping future revolved around a Provari so I bought a Procyon, which I Love. (this is a very long story made short)

I was originally considering a Radius but the "plastic" body put me off somewhat (as did the "stupidly complex" battery replacement) considering it was AUS $300 down here in Australia, so I sprung for the beautiful SS Procyon.
Long story short I've been over the moon happy with my foray into Provari ever since.

But after an initial and very disappointing addition of a kabuki I upgraded to a Kayfun 5 to grace my beloved Procyon.

The past cuppa days I think I've managed to overcome the shortcomings of the kabuki and I'm toying with the idea of buying another mod to have it permanently attached to.

This brings me back to reconsidering a Radius, partly because I now have zero interest in any other brand of mod, and partly because I'd love to have a box mod as well as my magnificent tube mod.

I'm Not a wealthy man, but I do know a quality and durable product when I see it.
I love vaping and it will be a part of my life for years to come.
But I have no interest in cloud chasing, and the latest greatest features.
Its all about flavour, reliability, and consistency for me.

Buy the best Now, and simply sit back and enjoy my vaping for years to come.

So a question for those of you who own multiple Provari's, do you think I'd be a happy man purchasing a Radius as my only "box mod"...or do you think it would be a small step "backwards" from my beloved Procyon?

p.s. I don't need more than 30watts and never will, so even the 40 watt Radius is and will be more than enough.
oh and I do actually miss plugging in my kanger to USB charge for top ups in the car/truck which is something the Procyon can't do.

I have had my Radius for at least 6 months now. As far as the battery replacement I have only needed to do that once. It works as designed. It was not designed to be a quick replacement...it was designed to give a great connection and to allow for replacement vs a hard wired source. As far as the plastic body I love it. The Radius has a solid quality feel. I started out with a bunch a cheap stuff and eventually either sold if PIF'd stuff. The Radius will not disappoint.
