It's because of the Russians. Your radius has been hacked.

Took them long enough. I'll try to speak into the mod, maybe I can relay some messages. Got anything you want to say?

It's been posted several times that this is normal. Every provape mod does it but not everyone hears it. It's the sound of the power converter.

That high pitch buzz, a tiny tooth drill. I don't hear the P3's.

I purchased my first Provari (Radius) in October of this year and immediately fell in love with it. :firefox:

All the other mods I own have become atty holders with the exception of a COV Mini Volt V2 & an iLeaf Pico. I like the small foot print of both and the low center of gravity which is no small challenge using KF V5's.

The Radius vapes so much better than any of the far-east chipsets. V5's and Mini 3's produce such a rich vape on all of my mods. But sitting on top of the Radius or my recent 2.5 mini the KF's atomize so much better.

BUT...I found a couple of concerns...
My Radius fire button started to cut out about 3 weeks ago. About 2 seconds into a hit the screen would intermittently go blank as power was lost. No power was going to the coil for a fraction of a second then it would light and fire again. This was an annoyance and I was getting ready to contact Provape about the issue but, THEN...

My V5's started leaking  from the AFC intermittently. Many V5 owners have posted the correction on ECF and I solved that concern.

Not before one had leaked sitting on top of my Radius. I didn't get a photo of this but wish I would have. The AFC holes for were lined up with the side panels of the Radius. Juice was laying on the top front 1/3 of the Radius and had started to run down the side with the screen. Freaking out, I immediate cleaned everything quickly. Base off, battery out, nothing inside or on the battery. But the top seam where the body and top plate meet was still holding juice after a thorough wipe down.

Removed the top screws and pulled the top plate from the mod. Juice in this seam on both the top and the body. Just a little seeping. Thank God! Dried gently and final clean with an alcohol wipe, then dry. Reassembled, installed the battery, buttons went through the multi-color start sequence. Attached a non-leaking Mini V3, hit the fire button, NOTHING!!! OMG!!!

The display would not light up! Nothing :w00t:!!!

I love my Radius, period!!! (Size not withstanding, bigger isn't always better) BUT this was not an immersion in eJuice. This was a good leak running down the side of the device and it died, dead, DOA, I pronounced and administered last rights.

Provape got back to me via their support site very quickly. They were empathetic to the failure. They sent an RMA within hours and I shipped the Radius back to them on 12/22/16, 2 day shipping USPS.

:danger: DON'T GET JUICE ON YOUR RADIUS!!!!!

If there is a vaper out there that hasn't had an atty leak they certainly must be a Sorcerer or a Voodoo Child. We cough up copious amounts of green to own the technology developed and manufactured in the U.S. under the pretense of superior (read their site) EVERYTHING! Now I'm sitting here looking at my Chinamanese, DNA chip, low dollar electronics that all have been wet (some literally flooded!) AND THEY STILL WORK!!!

I know, I'm ranting...sorry! The Provari devices just make vaping sooooo enjoyable! When I dropped 2 bills for the Radius I thought, thats it! You've gone insane! Vaping has caused un-reversable neurological damage!

Then I used it and used it and used it and used it some more. Even now, I'm using the 2.5 mini while I'm writing this post...sigh, it just vapes so nice!

Is this what they call a Love, Hate relationship? Hopefully, I'll have my Radius back soon. Maybe I'll shrink wrap it or plastic dip it!?! Perhaps a latex prophylactic, non lubricated of course.

Finally, a little holiday advice...

:danger: DON'T GET JUICE ON YOUR RADIUS!!!!!

Merry Christmas to All!!!

But, I do not disassemble it.

A good wipe is all I have ever needed.

It wasn't the juice. From what you describe it sounds like a faulty button which does happen. Provape will take care of you though, don't worry.

For those of you that read and replied to my post from Saturday about my Radius screen dying after a leak from a KF5, I received confirmation that Provape has my Radius about an hour ago.
I am anxious to see how things go with the repair. So far, the experience has been positive.
The mini's are taking a beating this week and I am pretty happy to have them to fall back on.
The Radius has always felt like I had my hand wrapped around my 1911. Guess I'll go to the range to maintain muscle memory. :) Hey, a reason to, is a reason to...

Stay tuned...

Personally I think that the black is their best selling Radius, (I have no Facts on this) and the reason they are not available is they are waiting on the body's to come in. (I hope) I find it hard to believe that they are going under, I think that they are just trying to push some over stock. When I bought my first Provari, they only had one model to sell, right now they have 5 models, and most likely too much inventory. Who knows maybe they are going to move? I think I read about some tough restrictions where they are. Just my :2c:.

Looking for an optimal wall wart USB charger for the Radius.

1) Is the Radius internal fast charge limited to 800mA?
2) If I use a 1000mA (1.0A) wall charger will I damage the electronics of the Radius ... even over time and use?
3) Is an Aspire wall wart USB charger as good as any and a good/best match for charging the Radius?

Currently I'm using an Aspire 5.0V 0.8A USB charger for an LG HG2 18650 I've installed in the Radius. It takes hours and hours ... and hours ... to charge. I could remove the battery from the Radius and charge it quicker in my Xtar VP2 charger @ 1.0A but with all the trouble to take the Radius apart and carefully put back together, I prefer the convenience of charging an installed battery via USB port provided.

Thank you for discussion and recommendation :)
