OK so how accurate is accurate (enough)?

That depends on what you're trying to achieve, and how close you're riding to that temperature. Are you trying to avoid burnt hits? Are you trying to avoid the production of dangerous chemicals at the base chemical thermal limit? Are you willing to stay ~40F under that limit just to be safe? Hope that answers "how accurate is accurate enough".

News flash: YiHi have just announced their next mod. What's that have to do with ProVape? Well, ProVape have limited the Radius to 40W on a single 18650. YiHi originally released the SXmini at 60W, then foolishly bumped it up to 75W with a firmware update. The DNA200 requires 3x 18650's to achieve 200W, for an average of 67W per 18650. If you only have 2x 18650's on a DNA200, it limits you to 133W, keeping the 67W per 18650.

YiHi's new mod will allow 200W on a 2x 18650's, for an average of 100W per 18650. They say to use a 35A battery (they don't exist). 200W would draw about 33A from the battery. Keep your ears open for reports of batteries exploding. Stupidity like this is hurting all of us. Voice your opinion on the ecf thread, or even better, on the SXmini facebook page, and encourage them not to release this mod.

You think there is an accuracy problem so I was interested what level of accuracy you think would be needed to solve the problem.

Personally, I am not trying to achieve anything with TL. I use TL exclusively for about 6 months with DNA 40s. I concluded TL worked fine, but I don't need it. Perhaps life is simpler for a toodle puffer.

They really aren't a "web store".

But I have been there several times and they have been trying to move out the Provaris. I haven't been in a couple months (its about 45 minutes in a direction I never head) but I called just before I posted.

The girl stated the 2.5's are 99 dollars and the P3's are 125 but the manager would make a deal. I asked her to ask him and he stated 100. They have several.

That is the total of what I know.

If I went and got them for someone with tax shipping and gas we'd be close to the 130 mark. If they would ship it maybe less plus I don't have to drive to Syracuse.

If you call and ask they cannot do worse then say no.

Well, some are displayed in museums from time to time. I'm now retired for medical reasons. I do know if I wanted to buy one back, the prices on the collector market has gone crazy. Never thought they would be being traded and sold for thousands of dollars each. They were designed to be used, by adventurers, Sportsmen, and Combat. Never thought they would become such High End collector's Items.
I sure couldn't' afford one![emoji38] Nor did I get any where near the Big Bucks they are bringing today. It does feel good to have your work so appreciated though.

I always tried to have one of these for edc, but someone would always offer me a ridiculous amount for it, and I would give in. that would eventually leave me with the money spent, and NO Knife! Grrrr!

My wife still has hers. Which she doesn't mind letting me know about!

Petrified Walrus Penil bone for those that want to know. LOL!!!

I know what you mean about folks offering $ for your work, and how it can be hard to say no. I used to do a bit of "tinkering" with factory knives:

and folks would PM me and ask to buy them, a lot of times I would say no, but then they would make an offer I couldn't refuse. I still have the iron wood Mayo Kaala Some times no means no, I had a guy from Germany try to buy that one, My wife likes it too much so it will never leave. Of course, this is child's play compared to your creations, but I had a moment of understanding when you were talking about how people will offer crazy money for things that are just things...

That one was a disassembly, shave down of the frame, and blade swap from a totally different model. Now resides in a collection somewhere. The one's that actually went into hands that use them are the ones that make me smile
