We live just a very little way from the impact area of The largest base in the free world. It is a Tanker and Artillery and missile/rocket base. they rock us to sleep many a night! (And all day long!)!!! They have been known to miss the entire Base and land one out here in the countryside! blew one poor rancher's barn all to hell and back! He sure got a good check for that one.

I've thought about trying the Aromamizer but not a fan of the bands on it. I'm a single coil guy too. Not sure off hand if the Aromamizer can be single coil built.
Yes it can, and does fine in single coil mode. I use clear scotch type tape cut to fit on the holes I don't want open. It disappears, and does away with that hokey band!;)

Will cut down on Liquid use and still gives good flavor!

I will have to contact Provape and see what my options are.

I will post here publicly that I bought it used and understand the warranty may go with the buyer not the unit so if I go on a rant later ya all can throw that in my face.
 :2cool: :thumb:

EDIT: I figured I better explain the similes before someone takes it wrong and accosts me...

They mean, "Cool, I like it! I hear ya, brother!"

Well, I guess they would still have overseas sales. China is the largest supplier of vape gear, and it is Illegal to use there! Wonder how they test their new products.

Of course, there is always the option many other companies have taken during this Government Overreach the past few years. They can close the Doors! It is happening more and more, with many types of business and manufacturing in the U.S.
Sad!!!

Is this like a thing with the Radius??

I have noticed battery life to be very poor but I just assumed thats just the way it is.

For example a fully charged 25r in a DNA40 box will last me 2 days. The Radius with the same tank and same settings struggles to get through my shift.

I bought it used so don't know if I have a warranty.
Are you vaping it till it flashes red or just until the gauge looks empty?

Has anyone from Provape ever shared the company thoughts about FDA deeming regs.
How will the company respond short term and long term.

To my knowledge, they have not. But I'm not too worried about our fine Mothership. They are the largest US manufacturer of regulated mods and I'm betting they are fully prepared to meet the demands of whatever the FDA has up their sleeves.

No, I don't think it's a thing with the Radius. It's just a bad component on the board/switch, I think.
I had a flashlight that would drain the battery in about a week/10 days of no use at all(I monitored the battery life once I realized that the runtimes were awful compared to what was advertised), turns out it was a bad capacitor...and a good number of lights assembled with that capacitor batch was affected. Same thing could be happening with the Radius.
My Radius is from the initial release/first batch if that helps.

If anyone wants to know if their Radius is affected:
fully charge a cell, measure it...should be 4.18-4.20v
let it rest for at least 5-6 hours, longer is better to be absolutely sure(do not use or touch any buttons..sit on desk/shelf)...if the voltage is less than 4.13v...you have the issue.

As of right now:
my battery is 3.80v after 58 hours of ZERO use. I "lost" .39 volts.

The initial response from Provape was a little disappointing, but, I don't think the CS really knows what I am trying to explain. CS was trying to say it was normal. I sent a response back with more "technical data" (.39v loss in 58hrs) and a request to run it by an engineer or maybe someone with more technical understanding of the issue. I made it pretty simple explaining that I used to get 2 tankfuls off a charge and now am getting 1 tankful/charge.(same build)

You might not have a warranty but I am sure Provape will take care of you.

We already know via vape 360, that they had a bad batch of capacitors they had to dump. The only known issue caused by them is an output fault 7 error when it fails. There have been battery display issues and runtime issues for a few with early run radii but how much is tied to that bad capacitor batch we don't know for sure. Maybe vape 360 can tell us more

Til the gauge looks empty and its flashing. So both. Pretty much everyday when I get home from work.

Little hunting shows me the warranty is only to the buyer. I understand this and am not upset but it does change the value of used products to me.

The stock battery is a 25r which is what I use in all my modz and have for sometime. All my current batteries came from Fasttech and have been wonderful. I have a horde of new 25r's from RTD and I just swapped one in. I have trouble believing its a bad battery but I guess it could be.

Since the mod works I guess I'll just keep it but it was to be my beater mod and I can't trust it outside the house. Around the house I use my SX.

To be honest my Chevy truck eats 200 dollar parts for breakfast so this isn't a big deal. I only brought it up because I seen another with the same thing thats been vexing me.

thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the capacitors/Fault 7. I've never had any errors on my Radius, besides the one I am having now.

See how it does with the new batt. The one that came with it may not be bad per se, but it may have a higher voltage drop under load than normal causing the empty sign. One way to tell is measure the volts when it shows empty. A good batt should show around 3.2v. If it's 3.3-3.5 the batt is suspect and should be tested in another similar mod like a dna mod. It's not an exacting test but it can be used.

I have a vtc 4 that goes empty at 3.5v in my p3 with a poor iq. Under load it sags to 2.9 and by the end of 6secs it sags to 2.5 but after a few sec rest it will show 30% again with a great iq.

I have one Black ver 18, and one Ghost ver 19.

The ver 18 battery meter moves around alot. It will get down real low and then jump up, then back down, like I said all over the place.

The ver 19 battery meter is much more stable.

Both mods seem to last a couple of days, or more, with my use.

I'm keeping an eye on that early release Black one though.

Why haven't you updated the v18 unit?

Hey I've got a pre-release Beta P3 still running VER31...hahaha!
My other Beta is fully up to date.

That's fine, in the case of a P3. In the V19 on the Radius though, I think I remember hearing there is something that adjusts the battery meter. But then it could just be senility setting in. Yes it could!

The cap issue would not relate to any battery problems, different areas of the circuit. :)
We will certainly take a look at the unit and see what we can find. I think this customer already contacted us.
