Curses! I have had my Radius for a couple of months now and never had the screws loosen up on me much less come out. I read this thread, go out on the town with the Mrs. and blamoo! Lost screw. I have always charged the critter via micro USB with no reason to open the battery bay. I do a thumb check on them regularly and now this! Cursed I tell you! <flails>

Sorry to hear you lost one! I've noticed mine get loose and I've never changed the battery either.

For all my bad luck, I did happen to have a couple of my babies resting on the mother ship for some cosmetic work. I shot off my predicament via email and was told I could get a replacement screw when they shipped the Precious' (Preciouses, Preciousi, Presciousnesses?) back to me. All is well considering I am, as we speak, vaping on a one-legged Radius

Oh, by the way, just like some of the multi-engine aircraft new and old, the Radius flies one one screw just fine. It will not; however, be making any runs into the great outdoors until the second screw has arrived.

With all these tales of loosening and/or missing battery screws, has anybody asked the mothership about the safety of using threadlocker on the screws?
Maybe ditch the threadlocker for 1/2 wraps of Teflon tape...like plumbers use.
That's a good way to keep it from being permanent.

Use a small oring or lock washer instead. I've swapped batts and haven't had them loosen up yet. I doubt I'm doing anything different from the rest of you.

Jim, things always happen at the worst possible time.
It's the LAW!;)

Not a bad idea HB, and I still think a tiny "o" ring under each one could help.

I haven't had the issue, but I charge with both the usb, and battery change, so I do end up checking them often.

So I stopped being lazy and started working on a belt holster for my radius. I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment but I managed to get part way through step two.

First was the PITA step of making a pattern. I tried several methods an ended up using a piece of paper wrapped around the mod with metal rod to get the pattern "rubbed" into the paper, which worked out well.

I've transferred it to some leather and cut the rough pattern out. I haven't decided if I'm going to make it an open top or have a hold down strap yet and I have to decide that before I can figure out the belt loop part. I've left extra on one side until I decide what way I will go.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish this within the next week. I have a few different ideas in mind but this one should easily modify into a sleeve with a couple easy changes. I'll post an update when I get another step done.

Looks great, my friend!

Can't wait until I own a (Stealth) Radius, so I can make one myself!!!

What about a C-clip on the screw to retain it to the base?

once I get my ideas to reality I'll make permanent patterns and I'll probably share them.

I might be persuaded to make more but who knows. Once I get a final design I always make a second of anything I do because the first looks like crap after all the changing.

I make everything from kites to gear bags and they always go through a lot of rework before I'm satisfied so they end up looking like Frankenstein projects at first. [emoji39]

I'm sure it will be great, so please put me on the notification list when you have then ready to sell! ;) And earlier you mentioned you weren't sure if you'd add a top strap to yours. I'd recommend you put a snap strap so there's no way your Radius could slip out of the sleeve if'n you bend over or something.

Just get a Radius already!
Now now, my dear, sweet RyBryLawDudeGuy...

If I buckled and ordered a Radius (that I still can't afford) BEFORE they launch a Stealth...well then, I'd be going back on my word!
I desired many different v2.5's and P3's...but for the Radius, I'm only gonna want ONE.
So it may as well be the Stealth, seeing as they more than likely can't make a Satin Silver.
But, on the day they make a satisfactory Satin Silver Radius, I shall purchase my second Radius!

Hey Radius aficionados!

I have a problem with my new Radius.....

My battery gauge is screwy. Battery shows as full all day then suddenly shows nearly empty then shuts off. Device works fine, but the battery gauge display doesn't. If I physically remove the battery and reinstall the same one, I get a correct reading. Also the display doesn't always light up when I vape/hit the fire button.

I just emailed ProVape abo this but figured I would ask the ECF Radius folks if they have experienced the same weirdness.

Oh, brand new LG and Samsung 18650s. The batteries work great and read correctly in other devices including my other Provaris.

From what I've read, putting the device through an update (even if it's up to date) has fixed many issues similar to this...and even possibly this issue too! I just don't remember if I've read that issue before.
This goes for many updatable electronic devices.
Sometimes when they update, a tiny hair gets crossed, and that escalates to something bigger!
My last iPhone had an issue after an update, and I couldn't figure out what to do. Took it in, they simply updated it again, and voila! No more problem! That simple!

Thx. I forgot to mention that my local B&M did the update a few days ago and it didn't fix the problem.... Will try again....
