Thanks Imagine for the info/response.
Well, here is my usual rotation on
batteries. Whenever I go out, I grab my regular PCC with a battery on charge and my assembled Volt in the storage compartment (more often in my hand lol). A 65mm fully charged battery usually last around 3-4 hours and takes around 1 1/2 to 2 hours (estimate, I have never really timed it) to charge to full in the slider PCC, which gives me plenty of time left before I will need to rotate. I got the mega PCC yesterday so I have not had a lot of time to play around with it yet but so far this is what I have noticed.
1). It is taking close to 5 hours to charge the PCC itself using a USB wall charger. I always charge my slider PCC from my laptop USB port and it takes maybe 3 hours to charge. I also have a USB car charger that I charge my slider on sometimes but I am afraid it would take the mega an ungodly amount of time to charge that way.
2). A fully depleted battery is taking over 4 hours to charge on the mega.
3). After a battery is 'fully' charged, it still takes an additional half an hour-ish to charge on the slider. Like Vapian said though, a few extra minutes of
vaping won't really be missed per battery but still, meh...
4). I would now have to rotate between 3 batteries instead of two in order to have a fully charged battery on hand for the days I planned on carrying around the mega (it takes longer to charge a battery than the hours of usage I get before I need to recharge).
All in all, I am very tossed about the mega PCC. I like it but I just wanna like it more is all. I bought the mega for the main purpose of using it as my 'long time away from home PCC' for when I will be gone an entire day (like tomorrow, I will be in Indianapolis until late tomorrow night). Right now, I am afraid I won't be able to leave my slider at home until I can get a better feel for my mega. I think tomorrow I will use my mega exclusively to test but have my slider in the glove box just in case.
Has anyone tried charging the mega on a car charger yet? I am worried that if the mega dies while I am on the road for a day that I won't be able to recharge it, and that could become very bad news...
