Ok well my mothers bday is this Friday and although I let her try my mods and vaping she didnt like it cause of the flavor . The flavor was grape at the time. I personally like 808 style cartomizer and batteries but I don't have any left . I have been told over and over how good this product was and I will be picking her up a kit for Friday. I know bad timing I just missed a killer sale. But which prefill cartomizer do u have that is as close to a Marlboro light ? That's what she will want and I haven't bought from here . I might even pick me up a kit while I'm shopping

What I'd do is get her the sample packs, both Sweet and Smooth. Nothing I tasted so far has been like my Camel cigarettes, but I find that I'm not as fond of the tobacco flavors as some of the others. I still really like RY4 best, and chocolate is getting pretty high scores, but if you see what I posted about what people like best, 555 came in first, I think, and I didn't like that as well. I think the sampler packs are your best bet, and I think it's good to keep an open mind about the flavors and not expect what you got from your favorite cigarettes. There are a lot of very interesting flavors out there to try, and many of them have little to do with the cigarette flavors people enjoyed most when they smoked. I think most of the fun of e-cigs is trying all the different flavors.

I hope your mom has fun with trying them out, like I have. It's been an adventure in taste.

You are absolutely right. I did a couple reviews when I got my first order of flavored cartos. But I have not done one in a while. So you have spurred me to go to SI's site and do some reviews to let potential new customers know how good the products are.

I haven't done a review because I still feel so inexpert, like I don't know what I'm talking about. The customer service is excellent, but since I have nothing, really, to compare Volts with, being pretty much my first e-cig experience, I feel that my reviews wouldn't hold much weight.

6 hours and still charging. Sheesh, I have things to do, thought it would be done by now

(for those that haven't been following the older posts, I am charging a 102mm batt on the mega pcc to check when it cuts off)

So the pcc light finally goes out after 9 hours (!?!?). I popped the battery onto the USB charger to see how much more it needs - it took an addition 1 hr & 10 mins. That's just nuts! Needless to say I won't be using the mega for 102mm batts.

Anybody none any mods to their si pcc ( the smaller one)? I haven't held one in my hands but i was wondering if there was any room to customize it to hold some cartos.

i saw a pcc from a chinese supplier that is similar to si's but it has a slot for two carts and is a flip top instead of a slide.
i would of ordered it but shipping is 25 dollars on a 25 dollar unit, not worth it imo.

oh and I'm gonna definitely write some reviews on si's page-- thanks for the reminder!

I agree that nothing is going to match my camels exactly...but i *can* tell you that the 555 from SI is awesome! I have it in 24mg and when i am craving a smoke, the 555 is my only choice. It has a nutty, tobacco-ish flavor that is hands-down my favorite. Definitely an all day vape....coming from a camel smoker.
You can't go wrong with it.

As a dedicated Marlboro smoker for many years who asked the same question weeks ago in the new members forum (didn't we all?), I am so glad I never started vaping with a tobacco flavor. I'm not sure I would have made it - I detest them, they really make me gag. I had done a lot of reading and knew the variety of flavors out there was what was going to do it for me, plus all the yummies I vape keep me outta the snacks, so I haven't been ballooning since I've quit smoking. Just my own experience, for what it's worth!

Just saw the Multicolor End Caps. Love them. Now if I could just find clear drip tips that fit on the OUTSIDE of cartos.....
Wouldn't that be purdy! Don't want the DTs for dripping but for hands free vaping with a shorty. With regular DTs can fall off batt when held in mouth or teeth.

But bet COULD drip with that combo with the way the end caps are made. Huummmmm... If anybody knows where I could get DTs that fit on the outside let me know please.

connie i was thinking of that myself the other day a drip that fits on the outside of the cartomizer for this idea i had of a soft drip trip. you can chew and squish similar to texture of a cigg .... that slides over the carto completely or at least half way as with a regular size drip tip they make it to long for me but if it fit over and you could slide it down that would eliminate that and make it maybe a quarter inch longer .I even drew up a idea of how it would look and work

I know this will will never happen though as like they say vaping is not smoking but i thought it was a neat idea to mimic the feel of a cigg but in a tip that way i can hang it out of my mouth like i done with smoking .As i hate hard drip tips anymore as i always end up chewing them and chipping a tooth lol

3 hours is about right for a 78mm (maybe a smidge less), but 5 hrs on laptop USB is a little extreme. You sue it wasn't sleeping? In the back of my mind I was thinking that there is a hot port and one that sleeps too. Or maybe I'm just imagining that, dunno.... But mine took about the same on wall & PC USB.
Nope, not sleeping. I play a DVD on it that loops all night long to help ME sleep (sleeping disorder). Didn't even charge. Still had a ways to go when I transferred to wall charger. Also, I think if the USB port had gone to sleep, the indicator light on the charger dongle would've gone off...

Go for it! Works great and far quicker than using the usb directly on a computer. I use my iPad wall wart and standard usb volt charger combo most of the time.

I also use my HTC phone usb wall adapter and have the same results.

Now I definitely could be wrong and am no expert, maybe SteelJan will chime in on this one, but in my experience the charging device plugged into the usb won't pull more electricity than it needs and can't pull more than the maximum usb spec. So as long as you plug your Volt devices into a usb port you're good...doesn't matter if it's a wall adapter or directly into your computer.
Hey, Lax-
How long is it taking you to charge a dead batt on your iPad wall charger? I'm still thinking the extra amps/watts have something to do with it...just saw one on eBay too...

Duh! I just took a drag of RY4, then of chocolate, to compare. When I dragged on the batt w/ choc., I got nothing! What's wrong? Duh! I was puffing on the light end, not the carto end. I still think chocolate is going to be my 2nd best.

I have done this so many times it's not funny, but it still beats the heck outta lighting the wrong end of an analog!
