Here's a link that might help you out http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/209283-i-think-i-just-found-something-you-need-see.html
With the auto batteries as long as you remove the carto from the battery prior to filling and make sure there is no leakage you should be ok.

IMO :) - The one to really see is "Vapians" (one of SI's own) - Cartomizerfillinator . . . View attachment 47949
I believe he actually was one of the 1st people to come up with this idea and has a much better design since you can use it to Fill & Clean your Cartomizers . . . You can see it here in his thread about the: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/200782-cartomizerfillinator.html

Also, if you haven't seen or read "lolady" blogs yet - You really should they are WONDERFUL - she discusses Cartomizers in detail and with wit . . . You can see them here: E-Cigarette Forum - they gave lolady a blog and now look! - Blogs

Well once again, that's my opinion and just my :2c: - Hope this information helps View attachment 47952

OK, here's a question. So far, I've used prefilled cartos, but I might want to try different flavors. I tried someone's cinnamon and really liked it. So how do I go about filling cartos? I suppose to start, I'd wait till I used one up that I already have and then refill it w/ e-liquid. I've seen so many ways to clean them and fill them that I'm totally confused. I need one way, the simplest, to do this. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Maybe SteelJan has a video about an easy method? What other supplies would I need to buy to do this? BTW, I have automatic batts, which I like, but I think if I'm careful, I can fill cartos and use them w/o getting liquid into the battery. But I need advice on how to do all this.

After you see the other post, although there are differing opinions View attachment 47954, you may want to check out the "Condom Method" to fill Cartomizers and our discussion about the process we had here a couple of days ago. There is also the video showing how it's done that I posted here that started the duscussion: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mokelessimage-com-thread-310.html#post3723097 View attachment 47956

I stumbled upon the Volt in the process of researching the easiest PV that was close to the size of an analog. In the evenings, I don't want to mess around with trying to get PV's to cooperate. So I sprang for a Volt setup after reading this thread and hearing the reviews from all of you. It was almost a shock to find that this was exactly what I was looking for. On the days that I go to work, I've been taking a crew of 510's on Mega batts. They look sorta/kinda like pens of different colors so customers don't question them in a CAD Room. I can vape at my desk when there aren't any customers lurking about.

Now, I've tried just about everything with those 510's: PTB, blue foam, various cart mods, tanks, smart tanks, pump tanks, and of course dripping (which is awkward at work). While I'm at work yesterday, I can't help but miss my Volts terribly. The ease and the flavor and consistency were severely from my work PV crew. So today I made a change:

These are all Volt cartos with an adapter, my Joye 510 mega batts, and a cut-down 901 whistle tip. The draw isn't as nice as on a Volt batt, but now I'll be able to enjoy my Volts at work too!

You know what? I'm frickin' D-O-N-E with trying other vendors juice. Just tried some different 555 juice tonight and - cough, gag! Tasted like a frickin' ashtray!
Folks say "let it steep"...well, "steep" my @$$, if it ain't fresh and ready to use out of the mail then to h311 with it.
I'm officially sitcking to SI's 555 now. Ordered a small crapload in 6mg (trying to lower my nic intake eventually down to zero).
Gah, I'm so exasperated with the chemical taste in my mouth right now, sorry for the rant.

Regular KR-808 cartos will work, but they don't produce the vapor or flavor. The draw gets "tight" before very long at all.

so theres no other option ? reason i ask it because it takes almost a month to get anything shipped from america to australia and i need an alternative but i really like the VOLT batts

Can anyone tell me of any other cartos that they have had sucess with on the volt batts?

creesy, you can use any other 808 carto with the volt batts, the difference is soley in the performance. I do use some vertical coil cartos with the volt batts as well, and I have found no issues with them. The only thing that you are gonna wanna watch mainly is the ohms on the cartos. Stick with mid range and you should be fine;) Oh...and there has been some chatter of a UK company starting to carry the volt products....not sure how long it takes to get shipments from there, but it will probably be another option if all goes well and they do start carrying the products:laugh:

haha....you will find the RY4 is the same as well....there doesn't seem to be a uniform "taste/recipe type" for 555 or RY4. I have found only 3 pretty close alternatives for the 555, but they are still different and very good in their own right. The RY4...I have found but 1 that tastes good enough as a sub, but still different. Actually most tobacco vapes are different across the board.

Hi creesy, and welcome :) sorry about shipping times...must be an issue with customs...those look like they will work....the threading is correct however...there might be an issue with airflow...so I can't promise. Also they look to be the older style vertical coils...so you will see a difference in performance.
