Education is needed BIG time! This is a life changing and life saving device! Yet so many have not even heard of it. I didn't even know about it myself until about 4 months ago when I saw an ad on TV. The ad was only on a few times but it got me on the internet looking into E-Cigs.

Thank you ozpkchris.

I have been vaping since December (well my first try was Feb. 2010 from a mall kiosh crap, and spent toooooo much money...so after a month I gave up on the ecig....then, I took out the kiosh crap and tried them,,,they didnt work and then I went on a quest for an ecig....too bad I got suckered into a very pricey product.....but we learn, and because of those mistakes and asking some reviewers some questions I made it here :) and 2 other vendors that are AWSOME!!) anyway going on.....
At this stage in the game...I get really suprised when someone doesnt know about ecigs/pv's...it really does shock me. I wonder how and why people don't know these awsome things.
I do my best to tell everyone I know and people who I dont know (telemarketers, when I pay a bill over the phone.....strangers I do not even know who are outside the doors smoking....any opportunity i have)
BUT,,,,I am still shocked that the ecig/pv is still largely not heard of.
I saw my first commercial the other day for an ecig.....I had mixed emotions because more then likely it is either one of the very overly priced ecigs companies or a scam, but then I felt it is a way for people to get curious :) :vapor:

I saw your post and felt the need to ramble..so there it is rofl

I just encourage everyone to get the word out there that there is something,,,there is hope to get away from cigs!!!! I thought that I was going to be like so many people I have seen with an oxygen tank and a cig between my fingers. I had no hopes...and like a lot of people.....I have tried everything to quit!!!!!!!! NOTHING
I ended up smoking 3 packs a day, I smoked for 30 years......I started in 6th grade and then by age of 18 I started my trying to quit ordeal. At 41 I did quit with and ecig/pv woohoo....I quit for 6 months and then had major relapse.
I am working that out now. Apparently, I quit tooooooo fast for my own good.....like the eyes are too big for the stomach thing.

But, I smoke only 3-5 cigs a day (way better then the 3 packs), and there are some days I do not have a cig. All my life I smoked and I had to take that into consideration when I relapsed.

One step at a time. I saw all these people quit immediately and were satisfied and had no problems...I wondered what was wrong with me...why is it that each day that went by in my 6 month quit I felt worse and the cravings and urges just surged??!!!!! So I searched the ECF forums and found an area that had a post and the person sounded exactly like me and I felt relief cause I found out I wasnt the only one who was feeling the way I did and was scared to death to going back to 3 packs a day and having cigs be their world. So, I decided to just take it slow....get use to long periods of time without a cig and only vape if I feel an urge. I now vape about once an hour..when before the ecig/pv never left my hands. So,,,,it just may take me a little while longer then most.

WOW...didnt know I was going to go into my life story here....but, I do believe people need to hear, the people who still have it hard when they start an ecig and wonder what they are doing wrong cause everyone else is doing fine with out cigs because of the vaping......IT IS HARD TO QUIT SMOKING PERIOD! BUT ECIGS WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE, BUT IT WILL STILL BE DIFFICULT, but there is hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is already legislation out to classify E-Juice as a tobacco product by the FDA. Then THIS will apply: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...5-massive-smokeless-tobacco-tax-increase.html

E-Cigs are being banned all over whenever there is a ban on smoking. They lump it in with cigarettes!! Happened in my city. :-x

So be patient? Sorry, being patient can mean being to late. :(

This from another forum:

The latest change to the tobacco act says yes, anything containing tobacco or tobacco byproducts, (nicotine from tobacco).
There are other costly methods of extracting nicotine from other plants, but essentially not worth it.

So Yes, this bill includes us vapers.

I think if we are patient, they will become more and more well-known. Do you know that 7-11 now sells a brand of e-cigs? That's pretty mainstream.

Uncle, Please don't make me regret cluing you into the emoticons on steroids!

YOU shouldn't regret it :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
................
Where is jbmcdan? Has she worked out her living arrangements? I don't remember seeing for post for a few pages (sorry if you've been here and I just missed you).

.

thanks for asking, sallie. I'm still finding chevy parts in my house...found the bowtie off the front end 10 feet away from the point of impact. At least the gaping hole in the house has been covered in plywood temporarily...insurance people are really slow though...no work's begun.

Haven't been to a laundromat in 30 years, but had to go this morning since the drunk b**stard killed my lovely (to me) Whirlpool duet set....:mad::mad:

And to top it all off, I'm still shaking after a week, and walking into my kitchen makes me violently nauseated....but my doc gave me some really good drugs, and mentioned that it was the highest dosage available without being institutionalized  This will hopefully keep me from finding the little b**stard and shoving that metal bowtie off his truck into his nether regions....

I love it! I have so many T-shirts I can't get my dresser drawer closed without a struggle, but I'd buy this one! Cindy, want to go in the T-shirt business?
Aw, shucks. You guys are so sweet. Glad you liked it. One of these days, I think I'll be adding the SI logo at the bottom, just for kicks...but to mass reproduce on a T, is Rosie copyrighted or anything? Would be fun though. I've always liked that image.

I don't know if artwork is different, but if it's a book, and it's old enough, the copyright expires. If I remember correctly, the copyright is good for 28 years and then can be renewed once before it becomes public domain. If you did some Internet research, I bet you could find out.

This is what I found....

The image that has become most widely known was commissioned by the United States War Production Commission - Co-coordinating Committee for use on a recruiting poster in 1943. It was intended to be displayed for only two weeks, February 15 through February 28. The artist was J. Howard Miller. It is widely held that this image is in the public domain, but we are aware of no official documentation to that effect. There are less well-known images, including a painting by Norman Rockwell entitled "Rosie the Riveter," that remain under copyright.

So I cleaned my cartos the other day (boiled them )

The vp is still great but after a couple of puffs, all I can taste is the filler (nasty ultra strong filer )

They still hit good, clouds of smoke

I already have more blanks on the way but any way to fix this or are they trashed ?

Think It's worth trying to change the poly fill?

I guess I just hate growing them away

ozpkchris - This can happen if they are not dried thoroughly before you add the e-liquid. Just to avoid this issue, I let my dry for two or three full days, or better yet, I put them in the food dehydrator for a day.

You can always get permission from the artist to use pic;)

If the artist were still alive. Dunno for sure, but I don't believe that Norman Rockwell is. If so, he's keepin' a loooow profile. Isn't that the Norman Rockwell "Rosey the Riveter" ?

Most professional artists will not allow you to use their images because, once they give permission, they cannot control how that image is used. As a rule, I do not allow mine to be used. Even so, one fly-by-night company purchased a limited edition print of one of my paintings, scanned it, and was selling that image on t-shirts through hunting and outdoorsman magazines. Not cool.

True how true, if you however are sure they are dry they may be like filling a new blank which takes a little more work.

The picture Cindy used was not by Norman Rockwell but by J. Howard Miller, who died in 2004. The picture is actually named "We Can Do It." It was commissioned by Westinghouse around 1942, so maybe, if there still is a copyright, Westinghouse holds it.

Well, there you go - this thread does cover everything! :)

Public domain on Rosie, as far as I can tell, but I wasn't looking to get into the T-shirt business - just wanted to make something fun for you guys! Now, if SI wanted to do something with it...I'll take an orange battery and a coupla packs of cartos! ;-)
I'm adding in a coupla things, just for kicks. I'll post it when it's done.

Thanks !!!!
What do you recommend I do with the ones I filled that weren't dry?
Clean them all over again or just let them sit as is with liquid in them?
What happens when you simply add more liquid? Refilling a freshly cleaned carto takes a little more than a used one, right? Also, try Taryn spinning them. Maybe the liquid just needs a little help getting to the bottom.
Seems to me that if the problem was wetness, you wouldn't be getting much vapor action, which you are, so...

Hee hee, Imagine must be sleeping. Poor thing had a verrrry long night! Congrats again to all the winners (not me, as usual)!

Also I do not know much about cleaning them :( never done it... also SI does not endorse cleaning them as they are meant to be disposable... but I do see why people do it...and I am sure it works for many :p
